I'm concerned where this will go now though as it was originally planned to end at six issues and then extended to 12 issues only very recently.

Darkseid almost always describes himself in metaphor (the tiger-force, the hole in all things, IS, ect.), so it makes sense that another being of pure though would actually "see" him and understand how he's warped everything.
