Was hank wrong about propane? Is charcoal better?
>>150091426Bro Hank is just a poor autistic man, propane is his Sonichu
>>150091426YesThats literally the whole bit during the show.He loves his propane grillin, despite most everyone else is using charcoal and other smoke related cooking methods.
>>150091433Unironically has a touch of mild 'tism
>>150091426Charcoal is much better for cooking, but Propane has other uses that still mean it's a reputable industry.
>>150091426Isn't that the main premises of the very first episode?
>>150091584No, the very first episode is CPS/Twig Boy thinking Hank is beating the shit out of Bobby and Peggy. IIRC the first episode that addresses charcoal vs propane is the first Kahn episode. Hank actually likes the way Kahn's charcoal burgers taste too.
>>150091608I always thought the Kahn episode was the first or second at the earliest. Can't believe it was the seventh.
>>150091426>Was hank wrong about propane?Yes>Is charcoal better?Yes
It was nice of Peggy to give up charcoal for Hank even though she liked it better
>>150091426Hank doesn't actually give a shit. He's a propane salesman and has a strong work ethic, so he spouts his pro-propane lines all the time so he can't be called a hypocrite. That's it. That's all there is to it.
If you care about tour health its better to not eat smoke particles
>>150091739makes you wonder if he was as autistic about jeans before he met Buck Strickland
>>150091433Not really, propane found Hank and provided for his family. Chris created Sonichu and it never provided any kind of real security for Chris. If anything it's like Hank Hill's bizzaro version.
>>150091433Jesus Rebecca Jessica Hill Sonichu Prime
It’s an environmentally friendly gas.
>>150091906this isn't trueacrylamide was considered a potential risk 20 years ago but this risk has since been proven to be so low as to be meaningless - you'd have to be eating very pure acrylamide powder to get cancer from it, you don't get that from cookingHCAs and PAHs can increase colorectal and stomach cancer risk but their presence isn't related to smoke, but to heat (and you can reduce the amount of HCA produced drastically by marinading meat, and the risk from both by simply eating less affected foods - risk is a dice roll, not a certainty)since acrylamide, HCA and PAH are produced by high-temperature cooking rather than smoking or cooking over a smoky source, there's no guarantee that using propane over charcoal won't produce the same amount or more of each compound - it's really down to how hot and how long you cook
>>150091426I actually tried Mesquite cause of Kahn. Tasted pretty good.
>>150091426What's better? Literally how people have been eating since the beginning of time. Or explosive flammable gas?
What if you heat Charcoal with propane?
>>150091548>Unironically has a touch of mild 'tismTouch? the guy faints at the smell of charcoal and moved to the middle east just to work with propane tanks.
Propane is convenient as hell, I couldn't imagine my life without it. But I would never do a cookout with it, the loss of the toxic particles is too notorious.
>>150091426Depends on the situation. Propane is convenient as hell so if you are cooking on a weeknight after work or have a big party propane makes more sense because it's easier to use and control the temperature. If you have the time and want flavor charcoal is the way to go.
