>Genuinely smart engineer and linguist
>Carried the fights alongside Sue
>Got Silver Surfer to turn on Galactus
>Was willing to sacrifice himself to save Franklin without hesitation, both by replacing Galactus and by pushing Galactus into the portal

Johnny was the MPV of the movie.
>>
who cares? the movie still sucked
>>
>>150102016
I disagree.
>>
>>150101990
Who was the VLC of the movie?
>>
>>150101990
Johnny Storm is an average looking person.
>>
>>150101990
Good example of how you write "the smart mouth" character without turning him into a quip clown.
>>
>>150102574
>quip clown
The what?
>>
>>150101990
The fire effect here looks like Shark oyster and Lavagirl.
>>
>>150101990
Is this the only iteration of Johnny where it made sense for him to go in the initial trip?
>>
>>150101990
>Disney, without a trace of irony, genuinely thought making Marvel's heroes walk around wearing grandma's chrismas sweaters would appeal to zoomers
>>
>>150102708
It's not like kids are into this in the first place. Keep in mind, Iron Man came out 17 years ago; the MCU was part of millenial-early zoomers culture. Late Zoomers and Alphas have theirs own things (what they are idk, tiktok reels I guess).
>>
>>150102590
Whedon-esque character writing
>>
>>150101990
This is literally 1% compared to the comics, but with this participation alone he's better than the selfish, whiny, faggot jerk from comic 616
>>
>>150102693
2005 Johnny was still a good pilot.
>>
>>150101990
still fugly
>>
>>150102708
The costume design and retro aesthetic was easily the best part of the movie.
>>
>>150104518
For me, it was the space opera.
The first contact with galactus and Silver Surfer chasing them and trapping her in a black hole was cool as fuck.
>>
>>150102481
Fringe minority. Nobody cares if you disagree.
>>
>>150101990
I just realized my issue with this movie. It looks is low energy. Everything is toned down and everyone looks tired or like they have low blood sugar. It’s a low blood sugar movie.
>>
>>150102693
The 2018 run tried to justify it with Ben training Johnny to be the team's reserve pilot.
>>
>>150104606
I really like how that sequence displayed the team 's reliance on sheer ingenuity to escape and solve a problem. One thing lacking from previous adaptations was highlighting that the FF are scientists and explorers before superheroes (even EMH pointed that out), so I'm glad they didn't leave it aside this time.
>>
>>150101990
glad to see flamingtext.com is still getting work

Kek
>>
>>150104976
Yeah, altough I still found that a bit of a stretch. If there's one thing Ultimate had over the 616 origin was a more natural justification over the four being there.
>>
>>150104709
I do, anon!! I DO CARE!!
>>
>>150102016
So did your mom, every time, except when she should have swallowed you
>>
>>150104518
>costume design
is NOT even faithful to the era
>and retro aesthetic
barely saw anything of it and got soured by anachronistic things like not kamala
>>
>>150107290
>barely saw anything of it and got soured by anachronistic things like not kamala
The entire point of the setting was to depict an alternate reality where segregation is gone and the world thrives in international cooperation. It's a "what if", not a carbon copy of our 60's.
>>
>>150107609
>The entire point was to not be like the 60's
then what was the point of using that time? it doesn't make things different if you just put it in 2020 (because writters treat the 2000s and 2010s like racism central)

if i am watching a movie with a pulpy sci-fi setting ill be pissed too if they include not kamalas, not bidens, not trumps out of their ass instead of shilly robots, guns and vehicules
>>
>>150107693
To pay homage to the optimism of that time. The film is endowed with the enthusiasm of the space race, back when we weren't so cynical over the idea of science leading us to an utopia. Disasters like Chernobyl or the current concerns over AI have soured us over all that.
>>
>>150107823
>To pay homage to the optimism of that time
sure wasn't showed much, so which is it? just the aesthetic or the message, because one got barely used and the second can still apply to modern days if the so badly wanted to include a politician and have it be anachronistic
>>
>>150101990
this movie kinda showed to me how don't understand what woke means. the movie was just sexist garbage treating all the male characters especialyl johnny like idiots and weaklings to make women look tough and smart.
the spends the entire movie simping for her and getting humliated/sexually exploited and in the end he is not allowed to have a single heroic movie instead first having to be rescued by his girlboss sister and then getting pushed away like a weak child by girlboss SS because how dare we wanting white men to have even a single moment where women are not depicted as stronger and better then them at everything.
liberals like OP are just really out of touch and hate white men.
>>
>>150101990
>MPV
What's that?
>>
>>150102016
No, it was good.
>>

To you, a nerd. But to normal people, it's ass.

Easy with the herd mentality

The characters in Gunn's Superman.
>>
>>150102758
>what they are idk,
FNAF, Jujutsu Kaisen, Digital Circus, Skibidi Toilet
>>

>it sucked because… it just did, o- okay?!
>>
>>150107290
I didn't even notice the minorities. It's just the idealistic version of the 60s as a simpler, more straightforward time, without all the negative aspects associated with them.
>>
>>150107290
>>150107693
Are you under the impression that Sue's assistant was some sort of political figure? Because that's the only mildly prominent black woman in the entire movie.

Jeez Louise, son
Are you that fragile as a wage slave white boy making fried chicken for your betters like orange jesus that your biggest fear as that some competent black tranny is going to come and take the shift supervisor job as your shit hole job and firing your ass for not being able to dump frozen chicken parts into a fryer with any success?

Why are you so obsessed over a male character being attractive or not
