Why did this show get so bad in S4?

It seems like the show stopped being funny and started adding in out of place supernatural elements

Welp, its a cartoon, so supernatural and magical situations are not out of the question, but yes, now the show abuses these situations too much to give space to some of the characters (Lucy and her troop of misfits).
And for me me show officially ended at season 3, after that I don't really care what happens to the characters unless it's a change in their design, because a change in their personality (a bad one) is what we've had since Season 4.

The writing team ran out of mundane-ish ideas and the Savino cluster fuck didn't help either.

The show came out in 2016 when things were still allowed to be a bit edgy. The whole #MeToon movement kind of changed the direction of the show from a grounded family slice of life with Lincoln vs Sisters into a generic cartoon with a constantly growing cast.

Savino left.

I wonder if the whole Savino scandal just killed any enthusiasm the writers had for the show.
