I mean there's already Superboy. Jon Kent being a kid gave him a niche and a unique role, but now he's joined characters like Tim Drake in the limbo of "DC didn't know what to do with us, so they made us gay."

If I took over writing for Superman, I'd do one of three things.
1. Reveal that the aged Jon Kent is a clone that Jor El made and the young Kent is still around.
2. He gets sent to the 31st century and stays there permanently
3 He gets killed off.

Can easily go back. Jon Kent is still in space. Jon-El (the gay teenager) is an Alt U Jon who can go be the legion’s superboy. He and the legion help Superman save kid Jon (who’s straight) and then go off to do legion things in the future.

Everybody wins.
