One goes out of its way to attack religion and the other just kind of takes it seriously at random, one feels like a power fantasy where rick, this divine being does whatever it wants and his sadism is brushed aside, the other has two mostly powerless people be driven around by either assholes or insane people and their decisions end up either inconsequential or have stupid outcomes.When rick and morty adds stereotype characters they mostly come from other fiction like the assasin alien, but in smiling friends people like mr frog are an amalgam of jake paul, trump, and just famous people in general
