Instead of Smallville, Kansas, Superman lands in Arlen, Texas and is raised by the Hills.
What changes?
>>
>>150123832
Cotton takes a liking to the boy and practically usurps Hank as his father figure.
What we end up with is a very different Superman...
>>
Superman has Propane Vision installed of Heat Vision
>>
>>150123863
I thought we were tired of "SUPERMAN BAD" stories?
>>
>>150123832
Superman is now Propaniac and his weakness is coal.
>>
>>150123832
Dale would believe Clark was Hanks but suspect Bob was an alien.
>>
>>150123832
Functionally nothing since Hank and Clark share basically the same values. But Superman is perhaps a bit more quick to kick people's asses and now speaks with a Texan accent.
>>
>>150123832
Hank has conviction but no basis for this convictions. It's as if he were trained by parents Kent but doesn't have th experiences pa Kent had to lead him to those conclusions.
Clark would end up like Bobby. Receiving endless lectures about what's right but with no substance to back them up. He might be right a lot of the time but he can't prove it without real life dishing out consequences.
>>
>>150123987
If lex got a whooping every other conversation with supes he'd probably clean up his act.
>>
>>150123948
Yeah, a Superman raised by Cotton would be "Superman but based".
>>
>>150123832
Would Hank even be okay with the idea of a Secret Identity?
>>
>>150123832
Superman would work for some international propane company as an excuse to fight worldwide crime, but he'd still put his heart into the propane to make Hank proud.
>>
>>150124364
Hank would talk to him about wearing jeans instead of super speedos.
>>
>>150123863
I don't think he'd be that much of an influence on him before he kicks the bucket.
Worst case scenario he's slightly more racist and misogynistic.
>>
>>150124364
Hank spearheaded the decision to not tell Dale about Nancy and Redcorn so there wouldn't be trouble in his immediate sphere

He'd suggest it, although Peggy would probably come up with the disguise
>>
>>150123948
who said he'd be bad?
>>
>>150123832
someone get to writing, need me a story of superman but raised in texas
>>
>>150123948
Shut up, Peggy.
>>
>>150123958
The only way the Hills could explain them suddenly getting a baby that looks like neither of them would be that they adopted.
And they'd also have to explain why, since they don't really seem like the type to adopt if they already have a child.

I imagine their story would be that some relative or friend outside of Texas died and they felt obligated to take care of their son.
>>
>>150123958
That would be hilarious
>>
>Who so cleverly disguised as a mild mannered propane salesman...
>>
>>150124708
>And they'd also have to explain why,
Do you even watch the show? Hank has a narrow urethra.

wouldn't propane be Superman's ultimate kryptonite had he arrive to Arlen and meet Hank in person?
>>
>>150125994
>Hey Hank where did you find that baby?
>I uh... I have a narrow urethra
>oh ok then
>>
>>150126086
No, charcoal. Propane gives him power.
>>
>>150123952
>>150127239
A weak to coal Superman would have to be one of the weakest ones out there.
>>

>Clark, you lit that grill with your heat vision instead of propane? Ugh, that super boy ain't right...
>>
>>150123832
Superman is probably even more progressive, and fakes being Baptist like all Texans instead of actually being a practicing Methodist
>>
>>150123832
Hank's a little disappointed when Clark quits football thanks to his powers coming in.

He respects and understands why but part of him would like to see a high school football trophy on his son's shelf.
>>
>>150128022
>Dad you're tasting the meat, not the heat.
>>
>>150123832
THAT'S MY PURSE
I DON'T KNOW YOU
*kicks a man's crotch so hard they launch into space*
>>
>>150124708
That's what they WANT you to think. Clark is the result of secret love affair between Hank and his CIA handler/brain washer.
>>
>>150123863
>What we end up with is a very different Superman...
He saves the children, but not the Vietnamese children.

so assuming Bobby still exists in this universe, should he be older than Clark or younger than Clark?
>>

Superman isn’t above giving supervillains a good ass kicking.

Same effects and Kryptonite, so nothing changes. He feels woozy but always bounces back and often throws it away like it’s nothing. Don’t give me that easier to access shit ether when hasn’t someone gotten kryptonite to use against Superman.
>>
>>150123958
>It’s all simple facts really, Clark has the same rectangular shape as hanks head and both Peggy, Clark and Hank have glasses, brown hair instead of blonde. It dosen’t take a genius, to connect those dots I’m sorry to say Joseph but I think your best friend is an alien, I mean he looks nothing like his own father!
>>
>>150123832
Superman’s outfit makes him look like Tom Landry.
>>
>>150123832
Hank was able to raise Bobby into a productive member of society against all odds. Superman raised by Hank becomes the best hero of all time.
>>
>>150123987
>But Superman is perhaps a bit more quick to kick people's asses and now speaks with a Texan accent.
No, I think that would stop really quick considering how easy it is for him to accidentally kill somebody.
>>
>>150132705
Superman has amazing control of his powers considering he can still do things like use a pencil and paper. Beating up someone without accidentally killing them is all Supes ever does.
>>
>>150132737
A big part of his childhood is not being able to play sports.
>>
>>150132884
Because it's unfair, not because he can't control his powers. I'd like a super hero whose secret identity was a star athlete though. Like if the Flash was an undefeated professional boxer who uses just enough super speed to be marginally better than all his opponents. Something like that would be fun.
>>
>>150130306
Maybe they find baby Clark during that episode where Dale goes on that trip to find aliens.
Would be the most fitting chance
>>
>>150123863
Cotton wouldnt do that he would just be proud of Clarks physicality and strength and just “groan” on occasion since hes more of a boyscout.
>>
>>150134942
>Oh wow, so Dale was right... Aliens do exist...
>I'll take care of it! I'll shower it with love, and protect it and-
>Dang it Bill, this is serious. Can you really say you can take care of a baby all by yourself, let alone an alien one?
>I- I guess not...
>*Sign* y'know what, I'll take it to my place till we figure something out.
>But absolutely under no circumstances can we let Dale find out it's an alien, got it?
>>
He'd get mad when Clark suggests being a journalist, though Peggy could get him a job at the local paper
>>
>thread still calling him "clark"
>>
>>150123987
I feel like Hank's reserved nature could work against Clark. He already has trouble being an alien amongst humans, being raised by someone that's uncomfortable in his own skin can really isolate Clark. The Kents never really isolated Clark or made him feel weird, they just told him the facts and still treated Clark like their own son. Hank might be closer to Snyder's John Kent, wanting his son to not make any waves and hide his powers.
>>
>>150135967
How would Hank name him?
>>
>>150123832
Hank Hill dies because his adopted son chooses not to help him.
>>
>>150136250
Butch.
>>
>>150135967
>thread still calling him "clark"
it keeps things simple

>>150134942
>>150135270
it would be fitting admittedly but while I was definitely leaning towards Clark being younger than Bobby, I was picturing the age gap only being by a couple years, like 10-11 to Bobby's 12-13, both so that Clark can be an actual character during the original series run(we don't really need a third recurring baby character alongside GH and Gracie), and so that by the time of Season 14 he'd be just old enough to be making his first tentative steps into becoming Superman
>>
>>150136676
Does Hank love the guy that much?
>>
>>150136013
>>150136644
I don't think Hank would be against helping people
>>
>>
>>150124708
Imagine they tell the truth about finding the baby in a field before discovering he’s an alien, and everyone has their own personal theory about where he really came from like this.
>>
King of the Hill and superhero stuff is usually really fun to talk about for some odd reason. Reminds me a bit of this thread

>Clark's impressive journalism actually makes the Arlen newspaper incredibly popular and profitable.

Fantastically.

He keeps his lawn and house in great shape when he's in state.

Sadly his job involves a lot of the travel but the boys pitch in.
>>
>>150123832
'bout the same.
