I said I was going to storytime this last weekend, obviously that didn't happen. But here is part 2 of Brodeck's Report that I storytimed here: https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/150029140/#150029140

>>150139670wow, how did you do the handwriting? is it a font?
>>150139912It's a font, which is a shame since the original is done by a calligrapher.
bump
>>150139937what a shame. for fan scanlations like yours it's more than understandable, but I hate when official releases don't hire a calligrapher for written texts or sound effects like that.
>>150140369Original looks like this for comparison.
>>150140227Good story. Sucks that the villagers get to continue being epic douches learning nothing from their horrid actions over and over again.
>>150140209what for?
>>150140227I'm glad they survived in the end.
>>150140324>Die Ärtze oh shit, I used to listen to them
>>150140379yeah, that's the good stuff. thanks for dumping OP.
>>150140379I'll have notes ready next weekend. Possibly earlier, but don't bet on it.
>>150140081>Es ist nicht deine Schuld,>das die Welt ist,>wie sie istIt's not your fault that the world is as it is.From Die Ärzte song Deine Schuld (your fault): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRrP-bZvD2s>It would only be your fault if it stays like this.
Lovely.
Thanks!
I was already hooked at the first part, thank you for delivering
>>150140331Thanks anon!

>>150138752Gracias OP
>>150150927fuck off esl
>>150140227Thanks OP, it was a great read. Story about humanity really hit the hardest. I'm happy they survived and decided to move away.
>>150152135this
>>150152244I don't know how optimistic I am about the ending. For me the thing is about how easily people, even 'good' people like Diodemus and Brodeck himself when he acts the dog in the camps or steals from the lady in the train, are able to do what they might otherwise despise. Either out of fear of the other themselves, or to throw them under the bus to save themselves from a greater threat. That isn't necessarily going to change in the next place they get to. But you can hope they find more people like Fedorine or the hunter guy.

>>150153616It's an open ending for sure, but the characters moving foward instead of stagnating in a bad place shows they're not resigned and that alone is kind of uplifting for me. Even if the grass isn't greener next door for them, Brodeck is a man who had been unmade and went through Hell but is still capable to love and care what matters because he has people who do the same for him. I can't think of an more optimistic concept than that, especially considering how bleak their world and situation was until now.
Finally some kino
