Hello Anons young and old, the webcomic Unsounded has just finished (with a sequel on the way) and so those of us who enjoy it thought a group reread via storytime would be a fun thing to do. It's fantasy, it's dark, it's funny, the characters are at turns loveable and hateable. It really is just fantastic. If a fellow reader would care to convince our fellows Anons I'd be more than happy to include it in future threads. It's go time baby. This is our first real introduction to the pymary, it's been done throughout the comic but here we get some rules. It's rather straightforward but the things you can do with it are quite neat. One of the better hard magic systems I've come across.
Got some double spreads here. Completely forgot about them when I was doing a check through, had to throw them together real quick.

Same soul, different body and mind, and in his particular case having undergone a more perfect version of whatever ritual keeps Duane's soul bound to his own body. This means he's cut off from the cycle of reincarnation, so Tittybird can't have a redo.

So at some point, far back in the Adelier line, Duane's great great great grandfather or so was working with an awful lot of farcyte. However, other mutations are possible and not all of them beneficial. Think of it like a radioactive material. Imagine the possibilities of a copper raising their breeding plats in a high farcyte environment and then studying the mutations that arise, selecting for the best ones. You could make far superior child soldiers than Alderode has now. And why stop there? Who knows what other effects there are.

Do you think plats are straight inverts of coppers? Like plats are basically the negative of coppers in all the unique traits they both have: long life, dark hair, dark skin, no pymary. You can’t kind of parallel silvers and jets too, apart from them both having blue eyes - but again, jets darker silvers lighter with that blue. I wonder if jets and silvers were the test run for coppers and plats.
