The goal was to take over most of the European continent for a new German Empire and put US and UK in a checkmate via supply chains where they'd be forced to trade with Germany as the predomimant Western power.Hell, even France and Norway were like, they didn't wanna rule it on the books they wanted to install a puppet regime.It's legit become a pet peeve of mine that when Americans try to pretend that the nazis wanted "world domination" to sidestep how their actual goals and plans were eerily similar to the US Manifest Destiny plans.

A lot of the American curriculum is built around making it out like we just waltzed into the war and won it for everyone, we basically ignore how the biggest part of the European theatre was the Eastern front. They don't teach about the British intel or the FRA contributions. We also tend to underplay the post-war period and a lot of the diplomatic moves taken beyond just the Marshal plan.
