Any shows where it's a woman MC that gets beat up while going through the hero's journey? I don't mean in a gratuitous or snuff kind of way. Think Invincible but if Mark was a woman.Though Invincible has a lot of female characters that do eat shit such as Monster Girl. If you're ok with anime Slayers is probably your best bet - Lina Inverse is an anti hero but she does have a narrative heroic arc and she is subject to beat downs - both serious and slapstick.Then there's RWBY but yeah RWBY also doesn't seem to have growth in line with the beat downs they just sorta happen
