You dont get it OP. In her pitch bible, Sasha was suppose to come from a broken home but when Matt was told to rework this they kept the "broken home" aspect of Sasha's life but made it less obvious and more subtextual. Sasha's main character motivation is she lacks control of her own life and its because of this lack of control she stops caring about going to school or anyones expectations towards her. Thats why when she goes to Amphibia shes morally bankrupt because people are afraid of her so since they instinctively hate her she takes no qualms in ruining their lives.
