I don't know, how can we make this about trannies?

Very similar to TOH.
I pass. I just watch TOH.

Still I would love to see the meddling behind this movie like Elio got.

It's going to be diet Owl House. Who expects this to actually be good?

Damn, look at that diversity. There are no white witches except maybe the mom, and she gets a biracial son with nappy hair.

So brave. Another PEAK by Disney Animation Studios.

I really wanna say the word....hnnn.....I CAN'T HOLD BACK MUCH LONGER! LORD GIVE ME TO STRENGTH TO NOT SAY THE WOOOOOOOORD!

I don't put much faith in anything Disney-related these days, but who knows.

>A Type A personality is characterized by competitiveness, ambition, a sense of urgency, and impatience, leading to a desire to achieve goals and a belief that perfection is essential.
So it's either a Girl Boss or an Asian Tiger Mom so we're getting Turning Red but it's a boy (written by women)
>>
>>150149038
The concept art and story sounds like a TV show they planned then turned the pilot into a movie. It's going to be trash, the no hit streak will continue.
>>
>>150149377
Based blacked MILF
>>
>>150149112
What's with the vomit-inducing colors they call an art style? Are the characters going to look so trash they need to hide it behind distracting colors?
>>
>>150149038
All the magic crap will probably be queer coded. What was the last Disney film that had an ounce of testosterone in it?

Mulan
>>
So is this going to be a "I'm not like you Mom I am my own person" story or a "My son is weird but his weirdness is his greatest strength" story? Because both sound like a generational trauma dump by the writers who can't shake the feeling that their mother never approved of their career choice and need to let all of us know that she is wrong.

It’ll be a straight to streaming movie. That’s worse than a full season show.

How mad is Dana right now?
>>
>>150151094
The Owl House is literally Narnia + Harry Potter, it's not original at all.
>>
>>150151118
Nothing is original. Every story has been told. It's how they do it that gives it the sauce.

And WDAS has no track record of being able to do this, so it's going to suck on that, not on lack of originality.
>>
>>150149112
Way too many brown folx for my taste. This one will likely be another flop.
>>
>>150151094
She has a new show coming out this month, so not at all?
>>
>>150149038
I am actively repulsed by all of disney's continued efforts to produce """original ideas"". If it's all going to be magical brown people going on adventures, what's the point? Ever since fucking coco that's the only variety of original idea they ever seem to be comfortable with. I'm tired of all these premises. Everything "original" they do nowadays is a rehash of the "secret world of x" concept Pixar ran with since Toy Story, with a side of xenophillia, and marxist bullet points. Just make the fifty bazillion toy story sequels you had planned anyways. This company's lacked integrity for the better part of the last 15 years.
>>
>>150151240
Terrible take. Disney hasn't been itself since Shrek came out and embarrassed their storytelling. After that, they "modernized" with strong, independent women and weak, feminized men, and they've been shit ever since.

If Disney actually went back to the old storytelling ways, their movies would actually be celebrated again, but that will never happen as long as they have activists employed as entertainers.
>>
>>150151286
Who was forgiven for abuse in Coco?
>>
>>150151280
Who the fuck is even still going to Disney land? All I ever here about Disney parks is that they're overpriced and overrated.
>>
>>150151307
Disney has plenty of masculine men in their catalog, anon. Even their pre-modern princess films had men that took out the main villain in a big action sequence. And Rescuers 2 was dope AF.
>>
>>150149038
why couldn't it be about a father and son still lamenting the loss of the mother from an illness they couldn't do anything to stop? Maybe that's a motivation for the son to get better at magic? no?
>>
>>150151255
The show in question is literally vent-art shitting on Disney. That is the definition of being mad.

Here is how I'd write this movie if Disney hired me:
>The protagonist and his mom arrive in the fantasy world where it is common for humans to use magic as an everyday occurrence
>He just happens to not be able to use magic at all, while his mom ends up being a prodigy with immense magical power
>The protagonist tries to make up for it by focusing on his physical strength, but the massive gap in power between the two becomes even more clear when his mom turns out to be the chosen wielder of the legendary Hex Spell Book held by the first Emperor Hex
>However, everything changes when the protagonist obtains the ability to summon anti-magic blades using a mysterious cursed Hex Spell Book, and ingrained in its cover is a five-leaf Black Clo-
>>
I hope the son has a cute and pretty female love interest and one of the main conflicts is the mother learning to let her son go.
>>
>>150149054
This.
There's a reason no one does mother-son pairings. Boys inherently think their moms are uncool.
>>
>>150152092
probably asian from the skin tone.

>In order for her kid to become a witch, A mother magically turns her son into a girl
>A boy uses magic to become a girl in order to make his mom proud by becoming the strongest witch
Pretty easy actually.

>while his mom ends up being a prodigy with immense magical power
This is just my opinion, but I think innate / received powers are some of the most boring tropes ever. Yawn.
It doesn't feel earned, you don't cheer for their triumph and success after their strenuous efforts in developing those skills.
If Disney isn't careful, Hexed will easily follow the lukewarm reception like it was for (and I had to google the movie name, unremarkable as it was) Pixar's Onward (2020).

>>150152191
would commit mom-son wincest with
>>
My predictions:
>young boy protagonist is a twerp infantalized by his helicopter parent mother
>story will be about son learning to appreciate his mom, who is AWESOME and TOTALLY RADICAL akshully
>mom might have some token lesson about letting her little boy grow up (but not before she's done ruining his self esteem and sense of independence)
>given that this film is probably about puffing up single mothers more than anything else, if there is a major supporting role for an adult man it will be as an antagonist, comedic relief at best
>her son will be given the lesson that the only way to be a "real man" is to let a woman run your entire life for you
Classic nu Disney
>>
There's basically no way this movie will be good. The premise and Disney's track record all point to unmitigated disaster.
>>
Who is this movie for? Young girls who wish they could grow up to be a single mother with a biracial child? I know it's not for boys.
