>Ultraman in Hammer of Boravia suit floors Superman
>Luthor doesn't have Ultraman use the suit when he sends him and Engineer to go fight Superman again
I feel like this is the only genuine plothole that isn't just nitpicking. Was the suit not at Luthorcorp or did they bring it back to the research station on the beach? Especially since the President of Boravia officially "disowned" Hammer so nothing was stopping Luthor from sending it back out

Superman is le infinite

>I feel like this is the only genuine plothole that isn't just nitpicking
the suit is never mentioned as doing anything special
it presumably provides some protection if the behind the scenes crew are any indication, but its still unlikely to be anywhere near as strong as ultraman himself

it isnt really a plothole, the suit itself was never important beyond being a disguise
ultraman beats superman because of lexs pre-planned stratagems but the suit doesnt do anything that we know of
>>
>>150150467
I took it as Superman thinking there's a regular guy inside
And if HoB came out at the end it would further prove Luthor is connected to Boravia
Also maybe full power Ultraman would've torn the suit up from the inside
>>
>>150150467
The suit is just a disguise. Luthor exploited Superman's unwillingness to fight seriously in a crowded area so they slowly worn him down over the course of THREE HOURS. They just wanted to force him into returning to his base to learn it's location because Luthor wants to character assassinate Superman and "become the main character" in his place as this is how cancel campaigns work.
The second fight was Luthor intending to kill him with no witnesses and knowing Superman lets loose in unpopulated areas he sent the Engineer too for the jumping.
Superman never having been pushed to the limit also meant that Luthor failed to properly estimate his limits.
And hell, Superman held back even against Ultraman especially after his unmasking because as a controlled clone he was "innocent" and "could be saved". He had to have an arm broken to decide there is no other way than yeeting him into the black hole.(Silver Age physics, don't think too much about it)
>>
>>150150467
Remember how it talked before it being revealed it was Ultraman? Yeah, it was all a ruse, but you didn't pay attention to that little factoid, did you?
>>
Luthor didn't need the Hammer of Boravia ruse anymore because he had already been contracted by the US government to kill Superman by whatever means Luthor deemed necessary (ie Ultraman and Engineer).
>>
>>150150467
It's not really a plot role but I would have loved to see him wear the suit again in the final fight only to lost it.
>>
>>150150467
It's not about the suit, the suit is nothing special. Superman just never faced someone this strong, maybe even stronger than him.
>>
>>150150467
The plothole was that Luthor was able to relay verbal commands to his henchmen who then input the codes that are transmitted over a wireless network into Ultraman's nervous system, and all that happens faster than Superman can react to.

BRAIN! BEATS! BRAAAWN!
>>
>>150151218
thats not really a plothole because "I studied him for years" addresses every complaint you could have with it
>>
>>150150467
Anon it exists solely to be used 2 movies from now as the basis for Lex's mech suit.
>>
>>150151260
That's retarded. If you have two fighters but one doesn't move unless it receives an order, then it doesn't matter if you know every move the other fighter will make because he'll be decking your fighter in the face before you can tell him what to do.
>>
>>150151314
Luthor's already like 10 moves ahead, my guy.
>>
>>150151420
It doesn't matter if Luthor has actual clairvoyance. You cannot command someone to move faster than a person acting autonomously no matter how many moves ahead you are.
>>
>>150150889
And there are still stupid people that thought Ultraman was stronger than Superman because according to them Lex was 100% telling the truth.
>>
>>150151314
>That's retarded.
but it isnt a plot hole
its something directly answered by the movies own logic

Gunn wanted to have his "America is the only country in the world" moment and hijack search algorithms away from Tsuburaya

>I feel like this is the only genuine plothole that isn't just nitpicking.

And that’s why this thread isn’t worthy of discussion, why do you suddenly care about the film insulting your intelligence in the final lap when that took place for its entirety? Lex didn’t send the suit because he forgot
>>
>>150150467
The suit had no value beyond masking Ultraman from the public and superman's X-Ray vision. The heat vision and flying were both just Ultraman's kryptonian abilities.

fun fact: David also did the voice here.

Honestly, I thought it was James Gunn with some modulation.
>>
>>150150889
I have a feeling the black hole will be used to turn Ultraman into Bizarro.
>>
>>150151420
>>150151686
Unless you consider Superman to have only slightly superhuman speed (its even superhuman?), it's a plothole
"In my personal opinion, I think Gunn made Superman slower (not even a theory, he himself said he would make him weaker) in terms of combat speed so it wouldn’t cause problems for the plot. So personally I don’t think it’s a plothole, but that’s because Gunn’s Superman is quite slow. By comparison, it would be a plothole if this happened to Snyder’s Superman, who has a lot of slow-motion scenes

Ultraman's suit has a speaker on it
>>
>>150150467
>the suit hammered superman
>not ultraman
you dumb fucking retard holy shit /co/ really is full of dumb indians.
>>
>>150150467
Wish the armor had more screentime, it looked dope. Lex should use a repainted version of it for his power suit, minus helmet.
>>
This Superman is so weak he gets fucking trashed by MCU heavy hitters so easily

Why are adults so fucking stupid, miserable and completely shameless about it?
>>
>>150155126
I thought Lex’s minions were using what’s basically his power suit.
>>
>>150150467
A superman-tier flying brick being manufactured by a third world shithole did not seem to confuse anyone in that world either
>>
>>150155126
The fact the suit was actually practical was cool. I really hope we see more of it.
>>
>>150155404
>third world shithole
boravia, our closest ally, has a powerful arms industry and obviously created a golem of some kind
