This. The constant rebranding, undoing, then rebranding again really screwed them.
They also lost sight of prestige and chased whatever generic slop would grab the most viewers. While this seems like a good idea on paper, they whittle their audience down to a generic nub and alienate a lot of other potential viewers. Suddenly the only people who bother tuning in are complete retards so then they’re stuck making stuff for complete retards.
They needed to establish a brand identity and stick with it, then take chances on shows that may fail. Instead of green lighting stuff based on metrics and trends, get people at the executive level who actually have good taste and can follow their instincts to see things through when they see potential. Be the people who set the trends instead of chasing them.
