The short wasn't bad, but it did feel more like an animated trailer for a webcomic rather than an actual story to get invested in.Like, the whole short is just the characters reading each other their bios, telling each other things about themselves they should already know as roomates. Hopefully the creator can do more with these characters and world; they got a lot realized they just need a story to tell.

(Yes, the dog's sister is a doctor, but rather than have here characterized, it's just a "wah my sister got a degree!"). The funniest joke in the short was the cat not caring about being misgendered and just hating the kids for knowing about some pop culture before her.

It's mid as hell. Modern furshit with a grungey artstyle would be my shit but nothing about the characters really grips me. The episode is just saying stuff about their day so the chances for character interactions are minimal. Overall it could be nice if they polish a lot.

It's always two characters sitting around at some part time job or hanging out and complaining about real world shit like they just saw Clerks for the first time and now they want to make their own version of that. Also cartoon cats are way easier to draw than people. Audiences are more forgiving of a minimalist design of a talking dog than a minimalist drawn person.
