With going indie being significantly easier today than it was 30 years ago, making and publishing your own comic is a realistic task. There isn't as much competition than in Japan because imported manga is organized into its own segregated section in the shop.

Illustrating your own Graphic Novel/Comic is an art medium that is a massive time investment, and unless you're already established/lucky, you're most certainly going to lose money doing this; draw porn instead.

Do you agree with my indie /co/mic artist assessment?

>draw porn instead.
With a new age of censorship looming and more sites becoming unwilling to host such things, going NSFW is an even bigger risk than just doing a safe webcomic.

I didn't read your assessment because youre assessing whether or not to do something instead of just doing it. Anyone who interacts with your thread also is not doing it. Pick. It. Up.

Going indie is fine but you gotta remember you will have to shill your fucking ass off to get people to read your book. There is actually alot more competition than you think, the downside is everyone is just competing over a pretty small pool.

The only people reading indie comics are the die-hard comic fans. Going that route means you better have a stand out as fuck ideas to attract the normie fans that will pay for your stuff. The reality is you'll be operating at a loss for several books (especially if you're switching genres) till ONE manages to get popular after maybe 10 years if you're lucky.

Going indie you better be in love with the game of making comics cause you will not get a return for a long ass time.

I can't draw. Neither of these is an option for me.

Holy shit!
This is the funniest .gif I've seen come out of this board.

If you go to >>>/ic/ and open the link in the pinned thread, there's another link to ‘Fun With a Pencil’ by Andrew Loomis.
It's an oft recommended starting point for those who want to learn.

Even if making sequential art is not a personal ambition of yours, surely you've had moments where you wanted to draw something that popped into your imagination.

What part of 'I can't draw.' do you not understand?

Do you want to learn to draw?
It's no different than learning a second language, or learning to play a new instrument.
You can acquire this skill!

Also, I forgot to mention—
The book is a freely available .pdf
It literally costs you nothing.
Your journey begins here >>>/ic/7550155

You're actually retarded. Might as well say you can learn to grow wings and fly. Fuck off.
