>>150174057Ennis hates the industry, you don't get the conclusion to The Boys we got if Ennis actually hates capes.The biggest thing is The Boys is all about obliterating the idea of sacred cows. It not only takes a hammer to every major Cape character, set up, and theme, but its own MC, Hughie, spends the entire story being a butt monkey and then has him come out the other end having established his own, somewhat, happy ending. The idea always seemed to me to be to make a story and a world where things happen to the MCs that you couldn't "get away with" or "accept" in other stories because it's just "not what happens" to the heroes.
