One of the biggest advantages of 2000s pixar was that it wasn't afraid to make the films about adults who weren't where they wanted to be in life.Even Finding Nemo was mostly about a struggling single father. Ratatouille was about a greenhorn trying to make it before he really had the experience or resume. Like, all of them were about adults and the sides of ourselves we hide from kids because we want them to feel like everything is okay, making the movies as much for parents as they were for kids
