All of the details surrounding Piltover and Zaun and the characters from those places got thrown away in favour of a story about stopping Hexcore Viktor from assimilating everyone across reality in every timeline. People who pretend that the series only dropped in popularity because of the black boy kissing a white girl and the ham-fisted prison lesbian sex scene are politically motivated themselves.
