Imagine how kino this could have been if not for the rewrites
No. You imagine it and tell me how it turns out in your mind.
I have no idea what this is
>>150179095That song is one of the moments where you can really see the original direction of the movie shine through, sad that it's only downhill from there. It's still a good scene though
>>150179101I think the biggest issue is them dropping the idea of Magnifico working together with his wife. The leaked scene was actually funny and they had good chemistry. The final version just makes him look and act childish, especially his meltdown over the wish of Asha's grandfather.
>>150179105Good. Let's keep it that way.
The worst part is, even in the final movie you can see the exact parts where the corporate execs reeled them in because they were too afraid of the audience feeling things.
>>150179095>filename Best song in the whole Wish movie, yet Disney insisted on spamming the trendy villain song instead
>>150179187A villainous power couple has oddly been underused in animation. So many villains just stand alone at the top.
>mob boss king and queen villain duo >star boy romance fuckin shame
>>150179095No.
100th anniversary of Deezney and they put out that garbage. Not that I'd expect B. Lee to magically write something good.I wonder how they'd have fared if they had just made an adaptation of Kingdom Hearts 1. It's got movie references everywhere, it's a popular series etc etcOn Wikipedia it says that they intended to make Wish traditional 2D, but gave up because they felt "it restricted motions and camera angles". Bro we're in like the 202X's, it's time to research and try techniques to fix that and not giving up like little bitches, you only have a multi-million budget behind you.Maybe 3D + 2D like that Paperman short that your own studio created?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrqSF2OOz_M
disappointing mess of a movie
>>150182138Wasn't that disappointing if you already came into it expecting a mess.
>>150183993Your personal experience doesnt make it not a disappointing mess.
>the king keeping people's wishes is LE BAD>never shows how this is bad. people with their wishes don't particularly act differently from people who still have their wish, like AshaThis is where a character from a different town than Rosas was needed to bounce off of Asha, to show us why having your wish is far more important than having food and security from a king. That will be a tough sell, but Renaissance era Disney writers would have pulled it off.Asha gets two fucking characters following her, where one doesn't talk and the other is a stupid goat that doesn't say anything but catchphrases, so you never get a sense of why anything matters.
