Marvel can't handle the basics at all because there are too few pages to have anything of consequence happen or to have a particularly inventive page compostion or sci-fi/fantasy idea to take place or character moment because editorial doesn't want the writer to have inventive ideas or for the books to jump in quality to somewhere good and they do that by controlling the ideas and the amount of space they have in the book.
