Pretty much this. About as good as it could've been given the circumstances and a few great moments, but could've obviously been much better as a full S8 or even just a longer movie.

Compared to All That and Gargantua-2?
Its not bad.

But for 10 episodes condensed into 4 episodes?

No, it was almost perfect. It even answered many mysteries, joke ones don't count. But people criticize it too much because making a good ending when season 8 was scrapped was almost impossible because you can't do everything the fans want it to be

it was a little heartbreaking going in knowing that warner bros was basically sending it out with a gun to the back of its head, and that it was an entire season chopped down so it could fit into one special, but i'm glad we got it. i'm glad there's some amount of closure. i love that venture tower ended up at the old compound's site, as if to say that if they ever did come back, they'd be back where they belonged. maybe one day. i wonder if i'll be alive for it.

It felt like an entire season stuffed into and episode. The ending was a nice sendoff, though. Wrapped up my main questions nicely.
