Every black character was an infallible moral, perfect beacon. Even in the beginning, the one gang member who is reluctant in committing a crime? Black. The others? All white? The mayoral candidate, now this could have been an interesting twist in that she is also corrupt, but instead, she's perfect, no flaws. Even unnecessary black washed characters like Gordon and catwoman, flawless. (And yes it is still blackwashing even if the character was played by a black actress for like 3 episodes in a cornball joke adaptation like 60 years ago). Then of course you get your comically ridiculous string of white male villains all leading up to dei nepobaby mutt's incredible white privilege asshole line. It's all so tiresome.

Same as it ever was. I rewatched TMNT90 in theaters recently and it dawned on me that when I saw it as a kid in an all white flyover state, it gave me an unrealistic image of the demographics of youth street gangs in large cities. RoboCop too. That fucking thing takes place in Detroit and it's mostly white criminals. In Detroit. The issue is Matt Reeves is racist and thus virtue signals through his movie in hopes other people can smile, nod, and agree with him even though he is still mad from growing up and being called "too white" by black kids.
