read it a long time ago so may be misremembering one thing I will say is I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense to read it as your first or only foray into Superman. it really sort of paints an image of the meme that is Superman, but in terms of actual narrative events it isn't especially coherent or exciting It talks a lot ABOUT Superman but I think you might appreciate that more if you have actually been exposed to some of the iconic legacy it suggests that everyone in the narrative (and presumably the intended reader )is already extremely familiar withI guess I'm trying to say it felt more like it was a book about Superman and Superman books instead of an actual specimen of a Superman book?
