This isn't a discussion on how streaming is inferior. What's happened to all the sites? Anime streaming sites have only gotten more sophisticated while cartoon sites are dead or barely usable.
Less demand.Piracy is difficult to maintain when hosted in the west, but very few people outside of the west care about current cartoons, so you're stuck with whichever non-western person/group cares enough to maintain a site.
>>150206260Makes sense. Streaming was how I got into cartoons. Rose tinted glasses but I miss it.
>>150206054any time my casual friend asks me for the sites i've used when in a fix, i know within a year im going to be hearing "hey that site doesn't work anymore" and im going to have to scramble through a bunch of alts to find an update for him. wco was solid for many, many years. it's how i caught up to most shows around 2010 up to 2015. the forced ad/wait timer or the ones asking for a subscription, that's fucking insane. that literally makes me want them to get busted for forcing people to pay.
>>150206519I was just about to post something like this. WCO was THE place to go for cartoons. It was so good that once you found it there was no reason to even bother looking an alternative, and now that we need one, there's hardly anything else to pick from. Meanwhile, there isn't really any single best website for finding anime, so combine that with anime's much higher popularity and that results in a lot more competition.
>>150206603Kisscartoon was my go to
>>150206054they're on the movie sites like 24drama.to
>>150206054Nowadays they're combined with movie and live-action TV streaming sites in a big conglomeration. It works okay.
>>150206054RIP to a real one
>>150206054>forces you to disable your adblock
>>150206054>Anime streaming sites have only gotten more sophisticatedHave they? You mean like anime pirate sites, right? I thought most of those died after the majority swapped over to things like Crunchyroll.
