>point of movie is "Do your best to be good and do the right thing even if it's hard">half the internet proceeds to shit itself over this and start calling it goyslop or soiboi propaganda or some other buzzwordWhy did this movie mindbreak people so badly? It's not Joker levels but this is silly
>>150213778>Why did this movie mindbreak people so badly?Everyone's unemployed so there has to be something to bitch about
I relate to Lex more. He's my favorite character in the movie. I relate a lot to being vindictive.
That never happened but Gunnfags love to lie to prop up this lame movie.
>>150213778>Why did this movie mindbreak people so badly?Because despite the intent the movie was bad.
>>150213778The other half is hyping Superman as the movie America needs right now. America lost its mind in general, it's a decadent empire
>>150213778being positive and empathetic is harder than being hateful and negative.
>>150213778>Why did this movie mindbreak people so badly?Because American culture has been idolizing assholes for the last 40+ years.
>>150213778Superman fans are like that
>>150213778It just seems kinda kinda infantile and insincere.
Zoomers have born into ragebait content so they think that being a cynic is cool
>>150213778It feels incredibly patronizing, honestly.
>>150213912True, and I don't want to devil's advocate it but there've been published and anecdotal stories of nice guys living and dying as suckers. Possibly propaganda to "turn good men cruel" but even without influencers barking nonsense about sigma grind the sentiment is not unsubstantiated.I love Superman, but I can understand a lot of people feeling jaded towards being probed to live up to even just Clark's example without the support of everloving parents with a secure private residence, a co-worker girlfriend who respects your personal and professional efforts, friendly work peers and a tough but likeable boss who isn't going to boot you for indentured servants.Since the 90s some or all of these have become increasingly shaky or absent in the lives of the average person. I don't think turning into someone like one of Lex's cronies is the solution, but real life understandably exhausts a lot of good will reserves and leaves people without any lesson from it or how to go forward.
>>150213778The current default way of living is to make selfish and immoral choices and then tell yourself it doesn't matter because it's impossible for one person to solve all the world's problems and/or it's always possible for an attempted good deed to go wrong. People who want to believe giving up on morality altogether is the only reasonable option in the face of this reality feel threatened by the suggestion that doing the right thing is even possible.
>>150213778>point of movie is "Do your best to be good and do the right thing even if it's hard"Not really, the movie doesn't actually comunicate that.
>>150215991It’s kind of a mess but I think it’s in there somewhere
>>150213854>anon says, ignoring the activity on this board and the rest of the internet since 2023
>>150213778Because the movie is insincere as fuck and everyone feels it.
>>150216100Yeah, like you can find some passages from the bible on Moby Dick if you try hard enough
>>150213778I think the main point of the movie was to show that, despite how powerful he is, Superman's just a regular guy who has feels like everyone else. Man of Steel tried to do this but failed spectacularly due to Snyder's very cold, very detached way of making movies. I'll never understand why Superman became the focal point of the culture war this summer when Jurassic Park stars a girlboss and the underlying theme of Jurassic Park is "corporations/rich people bad"
>>150213778>Why did this movie mindbreak people so badly? You're the one spamming these shit threads
>>150213778>movie says be good>every hero in the film is a murdererMake it make senseGunnbros seething about man of murder except they introduced the Murder League
>>150213778the point of the movie is to just kill your enemies and laugh as they fall to their death as super gods rule. luthor unironically was right based on how this movies entire plot revolved around superman conquering planet and deciding whos right or worng in wars. they just murder the one they didnt like and laugh to end movie. even kills his own clone throwing him into black hole and murder at least a few dozen luthor guys.
>>150216285I think the bar is so low for JP that no one even bothered to look for something deeper and just assumed it would be another brainless entry.
