>This was the only way to watch shows like Dexter, Courage, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken if you didn't have cable.
>All because the lazy fucks at WB didn't release much home media releases that weren't Powerpuff Girls.
>They wouldn't get DVD releases or full series releases until 10-20 years later after their airings.
WTF was WBs problem? Did they have no faith in CN? Or they think buying DVDs would lose their ratings?

On a tiny little GBA screen with shit audio too.

Always bothered the hell out of me as a kid when I could find 6 different PPG VHS and DVDs at the rental shop but no Dexter or Johnny Bravo.

They also published Bomberman games that flopped.
Laugh at Bombermanfags
>has 100+ games
>one of the most copied games of all time
>revolutionized multi-player in gaming
>had the first HD game ever
>launched the successful B-Daman toyline
>good Nintendo history and had a crossover with Wario and Mario Party 2 unused content
>has other crossovers with Pac-Man, Transformers, Yatterman and Lilo & Stich
>still gets BTFO in SSB and became a complete laughtingstock by everyone
>series gets overshadowed by waifufags and coomers beacuse of Bombergirl despite them never playing the game
>R got outsold by the new Momotetsu, a fellow Hudson IP that was only released in Japan.
>no console game for 5 years
>No games on NSO
>40th anniversary came and went with no fanfare or events. R2 flopped hard
What a fucking loser. Imagine being a Bombercuck in 2024

>>
Didn’t the video now have them too or just Nickelodeon?
>>
>>150215082
I got the Daxter bundle and it came with family guy and deadass I would watch the same five episodes on repeat when I wasn’t playing games.

The Cartoon Network, Inc. wouldn't allow 'em.

It's fascinating just how the idea of portable media has changed to the current standardized way it is now with streaming. It was a whole thing to be able to watch things away from a TV.
>>
>>150218058
Well, they sure as hell weren't moving for even so much as a penny.

I was a poor Nintendofag but I remember being blown away when I put videos on my flashcart and could watch cartoons on my DS.
Kids these days don't know the struggle of past technology...

>>
>>150214743
I would go to my grandpa's and he'd let me watch TV and tape it so I could watch it later
>>
is the full johnny bravo on dvd yet
>>
You've also got to remember the early 00s DVD landscape was VERY different than what it would become later in the 00s. Nobody was really sure what the standards were for DVDs at the time, so some shows would get full season releases, while others would get VHS-style "four episode" releases.
>>
>>150223664
I'm not sure..
>>
>>150219454
>Dexter had one tape
it was rare and expensive and only contained a handful of episodes.
>>
>>150223664
Only S1 got a complete set.
The rest are in other regions.
>>
>>150214743
I'm still mad about the EEnE box set. How do you fuck up that badly?

>>
>>150214743
afaik Nickelodeon and Disney Channel also had those GBA Video cartridges
>>
>>150214772
And low framerate and pixelated graphics too. The fucking SNES and Genesis have better graphics than the GBA.
>>
I still find it funny that you can watch Shrek on the GBA
>>
Every disc cost as much as a video game.
>>
>>150229496
I dusted off Drill Dozer. Still a fun game
>>
