>>150220571It wasn't Superman doing itSuperman had the strength to snap his neck in the opposite direction but not hold it in place
>>150216082It's kinda weird modern popular media doesn't do the whole killing is wrong thing anymore. Like the hero being the one to bring them in front of a court and then them being put away. That's not how the real world works and the criminal's corruption of the government would surely get them out but then why not just have Superman grab those politicians and bring them to wherever the problem is and also use them to find where the evidence is? I'd enjoy Superman flying a corrupt politician around looking for their evidence/connections. It'd also be more interesting because he effectively kidnapped someone but we would know Superman has some kernel of truth behind why he is doing this and that could be revealed at the end of the story. This all stems from the time I saw that story Superman simply flying to Hitler and Tojo's bases and bringing them to the international court to be sentenced in that one comic. But also the feeling of creatives just taking their enemy/strawman and killing them in front of everyone is kinda weird. I guess I do get some catharsis from seeing Netanyahu, Putin, or Epstein getting killed in front of everyone but it just feels hollow because it is fiction and not built up enough. All this politician's wrongdoings were done offscreen and that's how it is IRL but in a story it wasn't as impactful as Lex's part where he is beaten. I guess that's the point since this strawman is a side-character but all I want to say is it felt indulgent. And most of the time when Gunn indulges in something it's kinda lame. At least this one redpills some people on zionists though.
>>150220571So I know you didn't watch the movie but Superman isn't the one who did that. It was Hawkgirl
>>150216234Russia. Cunt's literally Putin with more hair.

>>150221984Kill or no kill someone is going to complain.
>>150220731Kendra isn't Thanagarian.
>>150221984I saw the same panels of the comics. In that particular instance, I do believe that was Stalin and Hitler. Or else I didn't see the same comic. Either way, in this instance Superman's not doing anything the US wouldn't have liked or tried to, but were just lacking the ability to do.You bring up an interesting point and something I wanna point out: Largely, I've always felt the failing (in story) is the court being unable or unwilling to act when it most decidedly is their responsibility and duty to execute justice against whatever villain happens to land in custody. Typically though the justice system in comics is always failing is because legacy characters carry comic sales so hard it's impossible for any permanent removal of any of them. As far as a story reason goes I have no idea and I can't fathom a good excuse for why a court would look at someone who has proven time and again to be both a flight risk and a threat to public safety and then grant them bail which they have every consistently jumped. But maybe someone who is more into the comics could explain that one.
>>150222371Once again, it wasn't Superman that killed him.
>>150220571>Kidnaps and kills the head of state of an US allied country: *cricket sounds*Superman didn't do that though, that's the crucial detail you're leaving out. >>150221984If anything the JG just killing the bad guy only reinforces Superman's role in the universe; he's the guy villains WANT to deal with. The moment any other hero steps in, they're well and truly fucked because the JG is not going to hold back. So villains are never going to want to create a situation where Superman can't step in, because that's basically a death sentence.
>>150216082Super rape him.I'm talking Alan Moore's Mr Hyde shit. Maybe just hold off from killing him, but make it so he'd shit in a bag for the rest of his life.
>>150216082"I won't kill you... but I don't have to save you."
>>150216082Depends. Does it matter if I sound mad?
>>150222651She is spiritually and culturally thanagarian and in this house, she's an American hero end of story.
>>150221984>It's kinda weird modern popular media doesn't do the whole killing is wrong thing anymore.Cape Movies almost NEVER do that. Closest we've ever gotten was Batman's speech to Robin in either Forever or & Robin about how if he kills for vengeance it'll take over his life.He then proceeds to KILL Two-Face, because Hollywood is run by killfags who would've considered Bruce not killing an old friend who legitimately went insane an unsatisfying ending.
>>150220571Honestly Hawkgirl outright merccing him without any consequence within the movie was kinda dumb but it's still a hell of a less retarded than the writers outright writing Superman killing someone. Like no one forced them to do that, it was their stupid creative choice they tried to justify.
>>150222289Russia isn't an American ally.

>>150216082If you kill a mass murder, the number of mass murders in the world decrease by 1 but the amount of murders in the world remains the same.
>>150222854Yeah I guess so if done to differentiate Superman but I also kinda wanted him to eventually foreshadow him conflicting with the gang about this and maybe pointing towards a future where they don't have to kill.>>150222725Well Joker and guys like Killer Croc who are able to break out or are super dangerous are probably denied bail and just escape before they can be executed. I don't know too much about court yet, sorry to say. Like the specifics of Joker getting sent to Arkham again for rehab instead of getting executed isn't something I know a lot about either. Oh and I was thinking of this cover (pic rel), not those set of pages/panels. >>150222505Yep. Oh well. Writers gotta write and they gotta thread the needle. What else is new?>>150224154Yeah it's lame. Iron Man I feel started the whole trend and they followed the formula too much. Why they thought nobody was looking forward to a supervillain team is anybody's guess as to why that incompetence happened. Maybe DC will do that. But The Dark Knight did have Batman and his whole "one rule" represented faithfully. Just sucks, Ledger died. Raimi Spider-Man movies did just have the villains die by accident and have Peter bear the consequences so that's alright. Did imagine Sinister Six at one point though. Too bad NWH sucked.
>>150216082I'd try to think of a snappy comeback, it'd come to me a few hours later, and I'd hold onto it in case he ever gets a trial and I get another chance.
>>150216082I'd growl "You're completely right", then I'd lift him up and say "I don't have the balls to kill anyone!" and smash his head through a glass window. Then I'd say "Murder is for villain! Heroes like me uphold the law!" as I unlawfully brutalize him. I'd crush his hand with my boot, break his arm and leg as he struggled. Then I'd turn him over to the cops and get an applause even though I committed crimes that are, while not as bad as murder, are definite signs that I'm a danger to society for everyone to see.You see, you don't have to kill someone to make them feel like they'd rather be dead. And, if this was realistic, I would end the careers of criminals simply because they would have taken injuries that would make it impossible to do strenuous labor again. They'd struggle to walk or breath without assistance. All while being as weak as Superman and not killing.PS, I'm assuming I'm Batman or something.
>>150224985I think his piss would kill him
>>150216082Does the zombie of Ben Gurion appears in the movie?
>>150216252looks more like the first israeli prime minister
>>150225551The first two Raimi movies handled the death of the villain very well. Norman got his iconic stake of humble tin and drove Harry's character from there, Otto overcame his corruption and refused to die a monster. Then Eddie got a dumb death that was immediately overshadowed by Harry's and it's been downhill from there.Having a good guy kill the villain is not inherently a bad decision, but too many superhero movies treat it like a forgone conclusion and have really pointless deaths for it. Iron Man 3 causally makes Pepper a murderer and immediately moves on.
>>150225551>Oh and I was thinking of this cover (pic rel), not those set of pages/panels.Ah, appreciated. Yeah the set of panels I was thinking of was different. Though might have been from that comic so who knows there.
>>150226017After looking it up, it was a special story/humorous propaganda piece for a general topic magazine called LOOK Magazine (mostly politics, lifetsyle, celebrities, photography, and photojournalism like LIFE Magazine). It was done in 2 pages. Pic rel is the 2nd page. I thought it was in a comic book too. Though there's the Superman covers atom bomb test cover that's a pretty famous one too.

>>150221274>>150222267>>150222854I know hawkgirl did it. You think I've somehow missed the OP? However, Superman sent them to stop the armed conflict despite being aware they kill their conflicts from the previous scene with the Kaiju. He should've sent them to stop Lex, knowing how afraid the gang seemed to be of the US government (ironically for Green Lantern especially lol), then Lex would be stopped but not harmed. And in the meantime he would be in dumbfuckingstan making sure nobody dies.Instead, what we get in the movie is that the gang suddenly agrees to take part in the conflict despite fully disagreeing with Superman doing so before the movie started, and we get no explanation for their change of heart. And they murder a lot of people lol. And Superman does NOT care.

>>150229929They only need Terrific for the rift. As for Bizarro, he's trained to counter Superman so for starters I would imagine that fighting Lantern or Hawkgirl would put him at an initial disadvantage. And as soon as they see it's a Superman clone, Metamorpho can give him cancer with kryptonite.
