HBO licensed the entire EC Comics library for the show (technically they had no choice as the EC license is everything or none at all) and they'd have to pay out money to get the licence back to stream it.

The original comic is weirder/funnier, because Enoch wasn't just a guy with a facial deformity, it was a pickled, two-headed corpse in a jar.

i wouldn't even consider watching ritual. they pulled the puppet out of mothballs to tack on a cheap intro/extro for this unrelated direct to dvd movie.
watched bordello recently and yes, it's just as bad as I remember. demon knight is still infinitely rewatchable though

They've started reissuing the entire EC Comics line in oversized softcover trades.

Alternatively you can pick up the creator themed HCs, the oversized HC box sets or track down the 90s reprints, which famously unfucked the fucked up numbering pattern for most of the EC Comics
