>Make the implication that if the show kept going that George and eventually Jane would splinter off from the group
>Make the stronger implication that George and Jane arent even actually Eliza's friends they exist to be her servants / hype group
>Jane does the least out of the 3 but she's Eliza's favorite
>George does the most expecting something out of it only to receive nothing

I am now led to believe Eliza wanted Craig to join the Tea Timers not because she was actually serious about it but because Craig is a constant foil in all of the things she wants to do and everytime Craig gets in the way she slowly begins to hate both the creek and everyone in the creek all the more. If she got him to join and even enjoy his time with the Tea Timers she'd never have to worry about someone this persistent getting in her way

This show was somehow suppose to get 11 seasons by the way. We were barely scraping plots along after 2 of them. 5 is such a generous yet undeserving number and I say this as someone who loves Eliza.

Another thing about Eliza is that her VA has literally never voice acted before. She hasnt done anything. This was literally her first role ever.

I wish she was a little bit more elegant with Eliza. I get she wants to be a little victorian era / french aristocrat princess but she keeps doing a very harsh sounding valley girl voice. I still love her but when there were long gaps of time Eliza wasnt on screen i'd forget what she sounded like.

>she wants to be a little victorian era / french aristocrat princess but she keeps doing a very harsh sounding valley girl voice
I sort of assumed that was intentional. Like Eliza actually naturally seeks like a valley girl but when she puts on the wig and is in her role she tries to sounds refined.
>>
>>150234920

CotC canonically takes place in Maryland and that Suburb is suppose to be a fluctuated area of the lowest lower class to the low middle class hence why there are so many different lower and higher economic demographics in the creek.

Eliza is the only person who is upper class. Even Xavier is modestly middle class. Maybe even slightly upper middle but Eliza is of actual status. I love how in the background her whole house has entire golden framed portraits of her along with muses that are hand sculpted yet despite this she lives in what appears to be a modernist McMansion. The design of her mansion wasnt really what I was hoping for. I was expecting a Georgian Mansion with a huge gated fence that needs a night time security guard watching it 24 hrs a day with a well paved driveway that spins in a circle.

>11 seasons
HOW FUCKING HOW
>>
>>150238987
I think there’s a quote from one of the creators that they functionally wanted this show to go on forever and that’s as far as they got.
>>
>>150238987
I would have given it 2-3 seasons at most, I really wanted them to show some school shenanigans hell even have Craig pretend of be a high schooler to help Tabitha, Elders or somebody; that could have been fun.
>>
>>150238987
Maybe if they actually aged out the characters and we got a new bunch by the end?
>>
>>150239836

>In some AU, this series went on for so long that you actually saw the endless summer bit get phased out for them going to school

Because that shit worked so well for shows like Ed Edd and Eddy.
>>
>>150239793

I realistically cannot see this show functioning like Recess. Even if the neighborhood they live in is all adjacent to one another Eliza goes to a very expensive private school or because of how socially oblivious she is probably demands a private home tutor as to avoid going to school and being amongst "the poor."
>>
>>150239354

11 was the bare minimum the 2 head showrunners wanted and even then their idea of a compromise was they could have easily told the same "story" with 9 seasons. Both of these are insane asks since the Heart of the Forest storyline was so bad that JP breaks the 4th walls and goes "oh shit thats right we were suppose to be collecting these. Guess the best way to end this is with a fucking montage sequence."

And for what? They find a bright pink waterfall behind a sewage drain. Its like their own personal secret they dont tell everyone else in the creek about.
>>
>>150238987

Because this was unironically Christina Miller's favorite show. TTG was her favorite show because it made the most merchandising money but her "ideal" show according to the "demographic shifts" she would prattled endless about was this. She considered this a perfect show. The ironic thing about this is that the 2 showrunners who worked on CotC used to work for Rebecca Sugar and anyone and everyone who even breathed the same air next to Sugar each got to direct their own show. It was like a nepotism blackhole but what was ironic about it is that Christina fucking HATES Rebecca. She deemed her "bad for the brand." Christina loved the pro LGBTQ message and shilled it whenever possible but thats because Blackrock would slide her a check. The reason she hated Rebecca was because Steven Universe despite how fucking ugly it looked was constantly overbudget because they kept paying for expensive VA's. Thats why Rebecca is in questionable standing with CN right now.
>>
>>150240022
Hold on, what if... time skip to winter break?
>>
>>150240063
Never said I wanted it like recess I know it wouldn't work out that way. We had the episode with Bernard at the campus why not do one with the Elders or Witches or some other new character
>>
>>150240274

That Ep exists to give closure on how the hierarchy system of the creek works which is stupid because if you think about it for more then 2 seconds the only reason this "hierarchy" exists at all is because everyone mostly keeps to themselves but no one ever needs to fully commit to this. Xavier is living proof of this. He ruled half the creek till he wanted Craig's map and Poncho told him to stay on his side because he didnt need to be imposing his authority on all the other creek residence just because he can.

Not to mention how Eliza is from a literal billionaire family. She could buy the creek at any moment and kick everyone off it. This feels like an obvious storyline that would have been late game just to really make Craig hate her.
>>
>>150240219
>they kept paying for expensive VA's
Holy fuck I hate this, it didn't even benefit SU.
>>
>>150240390

On top of that, Rebecca who wanted her series to be half musical was getting literal theater people who only got paid for like a sentence worth of dialogue. There was even an Ep of this where the fusions break the 4th wall because a lot of the VA's cant reprise their roles because theyre too expensive. They flat out didnt even bother getting Nicki Minaj back to reprise her role as Sugilite. It was as dumb as Viv getting Kesha to voice Beelzebub

The message is literally "the real treasure was the friends we made along the way"

The show starts off with the trio Craig, Kelsey, and JP. As the show goes on they start getting new friends. When Omar (green poncho) starts hanging out more, it's actually him and JP that get along more. Kelsey of course has her girlfriend Stacks. And Craig Because he's the MC has Ice Pop crew (which feels like a network mandated Craig needs more black friends) and Wildernessa (his eventual girlfriend) So Craig worried that their friendship won't hold.

On the flip side is Xavier, a kid who's friends up until now were all bought by candy or in this weird LARP game that side of the creek was into. His arc in the show eventually ended with him becoming friends with everyone in the creek. He takes a selfie of the cast, and says he'll text them all implying he now knows all their numbers.

Which is weird, but they probably reached out similar to Bad Moves (band in the intro) had a couple episodes playing themselves.

>>150246640

I really dunno what they were going with this arc. When they said this was to get 9-11 seasons this makes it seem every couple of seasons theyd find a few pieces of "the heart" and then it would lead to them finding the waterfall but where do we even go from there

Its located in a soda factory. That place is a biohazard. You cant enter unless you go in thru a sewer drain which is connected to a fresh body of water.
>>
>>150244600

I just wanted them to do more with Eliza because she's my favorite and she's the only one who is so unredeemable she's the most interesting out of everyone in the side cast.
>>
>>150250571
I'm pretty sure it's more like 'The Loud House' or 'Big City Greens' in that the bulk of the episodes are slice-of-life adventures.
>>
>>150238987
Considering how pulp like the creek is in how there's always a new area for the kids to discover it's not really hard to imagine them keeping it going for a while longer if they wanted to. There can always just be more creek to uncover and more unknown creek kids to meet. Slice of life shows have that angle to them and this show did. Or at least it could have. I don't know if I think the writers would have been able to make up that much material for it, but it's possible.
