This is what gen z and beyond thinks of when they hear "Looney Tunes". Bugs and Daffy living together in a suburb and doing regular sitcom things like dressing up like a woman and getting a cosmetology license or dressing up like a woman and taking dance lessons or dressing up like a woman and daffy having a meltdown because he lost his purse at a shopping mall.
>>
>>150223984
The Day the Earth Blew Up could've been Gen Alphas exposure to Looney Tunes, but Zaslav marketed the film like shit. Now their first experience will be that overrated gassed up shitflik Coyote Vs. ACME. This is the timeline we're living in.
>>
>>150224104
I didn't know that you watched the movie. Can you tell me why it's shit, since you watched the movie?
>>
>>150224104
Regardless of whether it's good or not, I think CvA will feel alien to kids because what I've seen suggests you need to be familiar with the characters.

It's a live action/CG hybrid movie that prioritizes celebrity guest stars and has a meta narrative plot similar to that shitty Chip and Dale live action movie. It doesn't take a genius to realize it's gonna be mediocre at best.
>>
>>150224104
Don't be so negative. They still rerun the Looney Tunes Show on Cartoon Network
>>
>>150224174
I haven't watched it but Coyote Vs. ACME will be shit cause it'll just be another "what if cartoon characters in live action in real world?" plot, not directed by an animator, TDTEBU on the other hand was fully cartoonist driven, yet nobody wanted to support that movie, many people didn't even fucking know about it until it came out, ecelebs could've convinced people to support the film beforehand but given the limited theatrical release they didn't convince people to support it until it was too late.

I just more Looney Tunes movies that actually want to fucking be Looney Tunes, not some generic live action toon plot or sitcom, something faithful and cartoonist driven.
>>
>>150224311
then a feature film isn't what you want; these characters work way better in short bursts than for 90 minutes.

wb should just put all the classic shit on youtube if they're too costly being on streaming services. run ads and get millions of views a month from all kinds of kids

>>
>>150224104
WB created their own hell for Looney Tunes through a combination of not having enough confidence in the characters and turning the Looney Tunes characters into a one-trick pony. Bugs and Daffy do more than the "rabbit season, duck season" bit, but if you watched anything Looney Tunes-related in the 90s or 2000s, you'd think that was their entire schtick. Space Jam was the fina nail in the coffin because it's their primary merchandising vehicle, which means kids are more familiar with the Looney Tunes characters as clothing icons than as characters. They've gone the same way as the Flintstones and breakfast cereal.

Worse. He didn't even market it. A freaking LOONEY TUNES movie was thrown in the hands of an independent distributor and had to basically advertise itself.

Dude, what in the fuck are you on about?
Early Zoomers definitely 100% grew up with the original shorts. And we were heavily exposed to them.

>DVD and VHS boxsets available
>the Back in Action movie rollout
>Duck Dodgers show
>Infogrames videogames for the PS2

I vividly remember me and my peers watching a ton of Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry shorts on my elementary school's library.
(You) are lamenting over a scenario that never happened, Anon. Stop blackpilling yourself.
And The Looney Tunes Show was actually pretty good imho, I remember it being basically Always Sunny but for kids. Much better than fucking Tiny Toons and Animaniacs, I'll tell you that much.

Cope zoomer, should have said Taz-Mania since that was a sitcom-like cartoon with a Looney Tunes character. But you picked the two most popular ones because you are a poser.

I was born in 2001 and I always get confused by the insistence that zoomers only know stuff from the 2010s onward. I wager if you were born from 1997-2003 at least you'd either have much more of a 2000's childhood or at least a significant 2000's influence. I was introduced to Looney Tunes in like 2005.

Honestly better then much of the tripe we got in the 90's like Space Jam. Lola Bunny was actually given a fucking character in this show than being barebones "stronk woman who can outplay men in basketball" like in that movie.

I find it weird how Looney Tunes was trying to be "hip and cool" in the 90's, when every other cartoon was being wacky correctly, the late 80's-early 90's was a period where normies were into golden age-inspired cartoons, we got stuff like Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, Animaniacs, and Ren & Stimpy being quite popular, yet for some reason the stuff we got out of the very franchise that defines wacky animation was "Bugs Bunny playing with LeBron James" rather than something that actually feels like true and honest Looney Tunes.

No, it isn't.

You act as if the older cartoons are vacuum sealed, never to be seen again.

How do YOU know about Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry? Black and white? In the theatre after pressing your Zoot suit?

>>150223984

>>150250762
This is what is hilarious
Zoomers (97 or later) grew up with Looney Tunes far more then millenials/gen x did. Zoomers had numerous tv shows and rerun airings on cable, then when they got older it was on streaming. It has never been as accessible then it was to zoomers.
Gen A is when the reruns did not happen and it starts to fall out, but millennials thinking zoomers only know of TLTS when the only thing they had was Space Jam is very funny
>>
>>150231060
>>150233911

Can confirm, watched the reruns, bought the DVDs and VHS tapes, played the video games. Looney Tunes was still around and I remember being sort of annoyed that there wasn't a newer Looney Tunes show that wasn't pants-on-head retarded. I remember accepting The Looney Tunes Show as a kid simply because it wasn't Baby Looney Tunes or Loonatics, even though it was very clearly different from the originals.
