Besides Kirby's and Simonson's, what Thor comic runs are good?
Everything inbetween is the next best. Theres long stretches of time where Thor is a top 3 book.
>>150228457If it's not drawn by a good artist like Kirby or Simonson, it's not worth reading.
Most of Thor before Eric Masterson is introduced is at least not shit.
(Forgot to mention, but if there's Avengers runs where he played a significant role, those can count too fosho).
>>150228602DeFalco 's run is infinitely better than Ellis's World engine, which was so fucking bad that Marvel immediately retconned the entire farce complete with Waid and PAD explicitly ignoring the whole arc by having Thor having his powers back
>>150228828>DeFalco 's run is infinitely better than Ellis's World engineThe early part of it? Sure. Once Masterson takes over it is PURE SHIT.
>>150228457Gorr
Is Dan Jurgen's Thor any good?
>>150228828Thor actually lost his powers in the issue right after World Engine, and his appearance in PAD's Hulk handwaves it by having a villain temporarily restore his powers just so he can fight the Hulk. Waid's 3-issue run on Avengers started the same month Thor got his powers back in #500.The actual continuity issue in that era was Deodato designing a new costume that Thor was supposed to start wearing at the end of World Engine, but someone (possibly Ellis) pushed for the story to end with him still in the shirtless look from that arc, and he doesn't start wearing the new costume in his own book until the last two issues, but artists on some other books Thor appeared in didn't get informed, and drew him in the new costume earlier.>>150229559Sometimes. Starts good, gets meh, gets good again, then abruptly ends because Jurgens found out he was getting kicked off the book with about a month's notice.
>>150229559It is okish I enjoyed that political thor saga.
>>150228457thor the mighty avenger is from late 2010 or early 2011, is really good.
>>150229132Because Eric spends most of his time as Thor just bumbling around till they get Thor back?
