I want to make a thread about one of my favorite preschool shows but I know people will just make inappropriate comments about the character.
>>150229301If you let that stop you, you may as well never post any threads at all.Don't be cowards like the people behind Erin Esurance.
>>150229322I just want to discuss my favorite shows without people making inappropriate comments about the characters. It's very upsetting and it ruins my entire day.
>>150229348That's a little childish, don't you think?Letting the thoughts and opinions of others affect you to such a degree makes you sound pretty fragile.
>>150229393I know, I wish I could ignore them but I'm sensitive to inappropriate comments, especially ones about my favorite characters.
>>150229431No wonder your favorite show is a bout a pussy, you clearly relate. I’d say you self insert but we both know you’re not getting any pussy.
I'm convinced these threads are made not by an autist, but by an actual child.
>>150229976You have too much faith in people anon.
>>150229301What's your favorite shows anon, and why do you like them?
>>150229976Why would a 5 year-old child post about a PBS Kids show from 25 years past his/her time? And on 4chan too! A site mostly allowing 18+ year-olds.
>>150229301>Chinese SiameseGoddamned collaborators
>>150229946Please don't make inappropriate comments. Even if it's just a joke, it's upsetting to me. I want to discuss cartoons, not adult things.
>>150229301A cat is fine too
>>150229976Which threads? I typically don't create threads, because they hardly get any replies, and when they do the comments are usually upsetting.
>>150230462I have a MIGHTY NEED to impregnate this cat
>>150230462Please don't make inappropriate jokes like that. I really just want to discuss my favorite shows. One of many reasons I don't like inappropriate comments is because it gives me the impression that you haven't actually watched the show, and even if you have you don't truly care about it. It just seems like low-quality discussion that lacks substance.
>>150230508Getting intimate with the cat is caring about them
>>150230013kek
>>150230013>So are ya Chinese? Or Siamese?
>>150229994Thank you for asking. I have many favorite shows, but I'd prefer not to reveal them here, because I know people will just use that information to try and intentionally upset me. Sagwa The Chinese Siamese Cat is one of them, but it isn't very high on my list, which is why I felt comfortable enough to use it as an image for this thread. As for why I like them, it depends on the show, but as for Sagwa The Chinese Siamese Cat, I can explain why it's one of my favorite shows, but I don't want to go into too much detail. I can list the reasons in order, and if you want me to expound upon them I can do that. Here it goes: Storytelling, Background Art, Character Personalities, Background Music, General Artstyle, Humor, and Language Learning. There might be some I'm forgetting, but I haven't seen the show in over a year. I really do not like the Foolish Magistrate character, however. That is my least favorite character from the show. I really like the family dynamic. Sagwa is a very good big sister to Sheegwa, and even though she may sometimes get into fights with Dongwa, she is quick to forgive. I really really really like the idea that she can write Chinese characters with her tail. It's a very creative concept and it shows how talented she is. This post is somewhat disorganized because I'm tired at the moment.
>>150230564Can I ask you a question? Do you even like cartoons? If so, we can discuss them. Even if I'm not personally a fan of them, it's better than inappropriate jokes. Don't you think so?
>>150230623Can I share a story? My best friend is Lithuanian. I saw this scene from King Of The Hill, and I made up my own parody version where he asks, "Are you Russian or Polish?".
>>150230506Please don't make inappropriate jokes like that. That's very disturbing to me. Some people see cartoon characters as more than just objects to project inappropriate desires onto. Sagwa is much more than an actor on the set of your fantasy, or the butt of an inappropriate joke. Can you respect that?
>>150230691Getting a cat pregnant is caring about cartoons
>>150230794Can you tell me why you're doing this? Is it because you know it upsets people like me? Are you just joking around for the sake of it? Are you sharing your inappropriate thoughts just to get them out? Please give me a serious answer.
>>150230831My favorite cat is Top Cat cause he's a top in bed
>>150230853I'm not upset with you, I respect your right to share your thoughts. But I'd really like to know why you make inappropriate jokes like that. Can you please do me the courtesy of explaining it? I really don't like Top Cat, or many other Hanna-Barbera shows from that era. But I do like the way the name "Hanna-Barbera" sounds, and it's fun to say out loud.
>>150230909I like Gumball cause he's got big ol' balls
>>150230924Please explain to me why you make inappropriate jokes, otherwise this will be my final reply to you. Thank you for contributing to my thread, but I really really really wish I didn't have to read inappropriate jokes about my favorite characters.
>>150230953Look dude, sometimes finding the characters sexy is the main reason why people even consider watching new series. You should see it as a good thing that people actually take time out of their day to express the desire to ejaculate into them. At the end of the day, it’s a huge compliment. If you were an adult you’d understand this.
>>150231013>replying seriously good lord
>>150231013Thank you for explaining. Although that seems like a very shallow reason to watch a series, ESPECIALLY when it's not intended for an adult audience in the slightest. I think that posters like you contribute low-quality discussion to the board. By the way, I am an adult.
>>150231025I'm grateful that he replied seriously.
>>150231097That was a different anon by the way
>>150231136I wasn't aware. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
>>150231097Well since you want to act all high and mighty, why do you watch this shit, if not for the sexy cat? Explain now.
>>150229301This show got me into Chinese culture, which later got me into Japanese culture, which resulted in me becoming a weeaboo. Thanks, PBS.
>>150231229I briefly explained why in another post: >>150230672Please don't use inappropriate words to describe Sagwa.
>>150231266Personally, I never actually watched Sagwa as a child. I thought it was a "grown-up show" like Avatar: The Last Airbender since they both had Chinese themes. It wasn't until I was 14 that I finally watched it.
>>150231272I don't want a brief, vague, disorganized post. I want you to write 3 specific and clear examples of why the show is good.
>>150229348>I just want to discuss my favorite shows without people making inappropriate comments about the characters. If you didn't want that then why did you post a pic of that irresistible semen demon???
Until my balls are empty
>>150231933so 1 pump and done
>>150231306I understand. I'll do my best, even though I haven't seen the show in over a year.1. The Characters & Family Dynamic: As with many preschool shows, the family dynamic is strongly emphasized. Despite coming from a Chinese background, Sagwa's parents are strict yet fair. As for Sagwa herself, she is a very sweet, kind, caring kitten. She's humble, despite coming from royalty, she's a great sister to both of her siblings, and she's incredibly talented, considering her ability to write Chinese characters with only her tail. Sheegwa is my second favorite character of the three siblings. She's naïve yet brave, always willing to try new things and explore new territory. She's also very playful, sometimes to the point of excess. Not much can be said about Dongwa, as he's a stereotypical "older brother" character. I don't like the human characters as much, especially The Foolish Magistrate, but they can be charming in their own ways.2. Historical Setting: Sagwa The Chinese Siamese Cat faithfully portrays 19th century China (although I really really really don't like that it's set so far into the future, I would've heavily preferred if it was set in ancient China). If you pay attention, you can actually learn a lot about late Qing dynasty China (I really really really do not like the word "Qing" as the way it's spelled is slightly nauseating) and its contemporary culture. Additionally, European visitors occasionally appear throughout the show, which further highlights the intersection of Western and Eastern cultures of the time. Granted, there's liberal use of fantastical elements, such as dragons or mythology, but they're integrated in a cohesive way, and they further enhance education of traditional Chinese culture. As a bonus, Chinese words are commonly used in an easily digestible, context-based way, but it isn't nearly as patronizing as Ni-Hao Kailan.
3. Storytelling & Plots: I really enjoy the writing in this show, although the humor tends to be sparse. There's hardly a bad plot over the course of the series' 40-episode run. My favorite ones are those which are especially imaginative, or simply show Sagwa's everyday life, such as playing with friends and family, tending to palace chores, or finding creative solutions to problems she's facing. The writing manages to strike a balance between seriousness and lightheartedness, as well as blending elements of Chinese culture seamlessly. I wouldn't say there's necessarily much "character development", as it's more of an episodic series, but you can feel Sagwa growing with every episode as she learns about the world around her.

>>150231933>>150232200Please stop. This is low-quality discussion.
>>150232239this is Sagwa, any discussion happening at all is a miracle
>>150232290Fair enough, but there's has been substantial discussion in the past, even if it was largely centered around nostalgia or "shows you forgot existed".
