Ratings do not matter in this, they want the demo first!The show brings in a different demographic, pisses off the advertisers who will pull their ad revenue if a show fails to grab the demo they demand. The network has to make a fast change now, and they can only axe the show or move it to another timeslot since the Advertisers are the paypigs in charge of all of this and they want instant results. 90% of the time that means the show is buried for something else immediately. The Advertisers cannot care what else goes in that slot, as long as it aligns with their ad demo.
