This landmark release, arriving May 2026, kicks off a multi-book collaboration with Marvel Comics.>The oversized 15” x 22” collection will showcase some of the most historic comics ever created by Spider-Man’s co-creator Steve Ditko, including Amazing Fantasy #15 (Spidey’s debut) and Amazing Spider-Man #33 (often hailed as Ditko’s masterpiece). Steve Ditko. Spider-Man. A legendary trifecta. To finally see this book become real is surreal—it’s truly the book of the decade and a powerful tribute to his legacy.”

>>150251742Why do other comic book writers/artists hate Steve Ditko
>>150252803They don’t? He’s very influential as an artist. The worst people would say was that he was opinionated and could drop projects( though not without notice )
>>150252904I vaguely recall people like Alan Moore dunking on him for his Objectionist beliefs.
>>150253709It's more nuanced than that. >Steve Ditko is completely at the other end of the political spectrum from me. I wouldn't say that I was far left in terms of Communism, but I am an anarchist, which is 180° away from Steve Ditko's position. But I have a great deal of respect for the man, and certainly respect for his artwork, and the fact that there's something about his uncompromising attitude that I have a great deal of sympathy with. It's just that the things I wouldn't compromise about or that he wouldn't compromise about are probably very different.>Even if they have morals you don't agree with, a person with strong moral code is a person who has a big advantage in today's world.https://www.twomorrows.com/comicbookartist/articles/09moore.html
>>150253709>>150253750Basically you're right that he dunked on Ditko for his Objectivist beliefs, but he also greatly respects Ditko's work.
>>150253766*And also has some respect for Ditko being a very principled man even if he disagrees completely.
>>150253709Moore is a huge Ditkofag. He just disagrees with Objectivism.
