Now that the dust has settled did the 87' Turtles really have bad representation in Turtles Forever?
Take the clowns out of the circus and of course they're going to look bad.
>>150252199Yeah but who really cares? It's not their ending anyways. I mean if they wanted to actually stick to show lore, they would've been red sky Turtles.
Who cares? They get good representation in video games.
>>150252199Yes, and so they did in the 2012 crossover as well, because the season 4-6 fillertastic TMNT are easy to spoof as useless goofsters. I wish we'd have some sort of epilogue movie for the 87-97 turtles, but for now the videogames it is. Between Tempestra, mutated Krang clones, Triceratons, and a leveled-up S8 Shredder, the turtles had some good fights.
>>150252199The seething from boomers this caused was hilarious.
>>150252731Stfu
>>150252731Yeah, those seething TMNT fans born in 1963 and earlier are funny.
i want more 2003 turtles
>>150252199It was worse in the 2012 crossover, they were more mishandled and actively get their asses kicked in battle so badly to the point of needing to be trained by the 2012 turtles, everyone glosses over that fact because Nick got the original 1987 VAs/music while 4Kids couldn’t. That didn’t happen in Turtles Forever, they were still competent fighters and equal to the 2003 turtles when it came to the battlefield, their antics were mostly during calm moments.Like holy shit Peter we get it, you’re still butthurt about the cartoon giving TMNT it’s breakout and not your comic.
yes. they literally had them crying to Splinter. I was young when I watched it but based on my recollection Ive never seen those guys cry like babies in the original.
>>150252199There always seemed to be a lot of angry spite from both the 03 creators and 03 fans that the 87 show existed.
>>150252199>>150252612It's not the only time this has happened. 2017 Ducktales also made fun of how ridiculous the 87 Ducktales show was a few times too. 2020 Animaniacs looked like it was definitely made in spite of the 93 show. 80s Alvin and the Chipmunks once went back in time to the 60s Alvin show and they commented on how badly everything was drawn for a while.
>>150255238The 2003 cartoons came out after the excess of turtlemania lead to Turtles being fucking dead, entirely, for 5 whole years. It's the closest the brand ever came to dying. It's understandable they wanted to go out of their way to illustrate this wasn't the 87 show because that path ultimately died and wasn't resonating with kids by the late90's anymore. It's like how for Batman 89, a lot of the marketing for Batman the movie revolved on how it wasn't the 66 show but a darker take. when you're dealing with a big franchise and trying to relaunch after a lull, you want to try and make sure people know it's not the same thing they knew.

The movie needed more Radical
>>150252199Yeah, objectively.>We don't wanna use our weapons! They use them all the time.>We've got anti technodrome roller skates! They had so many fucking inventions and creations that actually would've been funny to use because they're toys, why the fuck are they talking like they're taking stuff out of the garbage when they literally have a garbage launcher that would've made for a good joke.>None of them have a different personalityI mean come on. Its even in the theme song. Donatello doesn't do the tech stuff? Really? So yeah it wasn't good. 2012's first episode did a shit ton better, simple as.
>>150256476Cope
>>150255389But Turtles Forever came right at the end of the 03 relaunch. Like, there's nothing to really prove here, the 03 Turtles were already a success.
You guys blame this but the 80s turtles embarrassing had to look more edgy in the 90s during the Redsky era because even they knew it was too late
>>150252199Yeah
>>150252199Nah
