>>150307454
It's a massive logic leap, and its still not very clear why Black Bolt wants to instigate a war only to reclaim an Empire he doesn't need. If he just wanted revenge he would keep it to the Kree. The Inhumans are somewhat self-serving but they've never been antagonistic in this manner. It doesn't really track beyond Hickman being Hickman
>>

Nice job nerfing yourself, Rich.

would have preferred it if the personality was still the Kree woman from the DnA run
>>
>>150308179
Hard disagree. To me that was easily DnA's worst call on that run.
>>
>>150307431
Wasn't Death of the Inhumans caused by a small splinter faction of the Kree that were then absorbed into the Utopian Kree during Ewing's run, or did they get absorbed into the Imperial Kree faction?
I know it's easier just to make every Cosmic race a monolithic nation state with no independent groups, but the split between the Marvel Boy led Utopian Kree that still had a Supreme intelligence and the Kree-Skull Empire was one of the more unexplored and interesting aspects of Ewing Cosmic stuff
>>
>>150307589
>If he just wanted revenge he would keep it to the Kree
Can probably write the rest off as plot induced madness to setup the other books. Hopefully they get a book out of this. Over it Ultimate they the Maker do all that shit a then wrote him out.
>>
>>150308305
Isn't it rumoured we are getting a Hickman Inhumans book out of this event?
>>
>>150308170
think the artist tried to make her regal and statuesque but couldn't pull it off
>>
>>150307403
Why not the Arakki?
Why not the Phalanx?
Why not Annihilus?
Why not the fucking Druffs?
>>
>>150307454
I can think of at half dozen major Cosmic powers that are conspicuously absent
Thanos and the Black Order
The Brood
The Annihilation Wave
The Space Knights of Galador
The Symbiotes
The Arakko Mutants
The Eternals
The Elders of the Universe

Jumping directly to the Inhumans is an insane leap

>>150307589
I assume they want to enslave the Kree like the Kree wanted to enslave them
>>
>>150307403
>>150307409
As others have said, this is a huge leap in logic. Leaving aside that the Inhumans haven't been major players in galactic affairs for a while, there's plenty of other figures who have been absent from this conflict as far as Nova knows like Thanos, Annihilus, the Dire Wraiths, the Builders, the Phalanx, the Klyntar, or the Elders of the Universe... (and as we know, the Grandmaster is the one who actually caused all this, the Inhumans couldn't have done this without him, something the Worldmind didn't consider).

>>150307437
>>150307445
And what's worse is that it would have made far more sense for Worldmind to reach this conclusion AFTER the Inhumans do this broadcast.
>>
>>150307423
The Kree were at their weakest when the Inhumans took over, having gone through Operation: Galctic Storm (which genocided like 90% of all Kree) and two Annihilation events, and the Supreme Intelligence was dead. They were in dire straights and Ronan willingly gave them the Empire because he saw that it was the best course of action.
>>
>Pete
So I wonder, did Hickman even read this?
>>
>>150307445
Black Bolt and Maximus are presumably busy, but Crystal and Triton are notably absent. Also all of the NuHumans like Iso or Inferno, but who knows if they'll even show up.
>>
>>150308545
Triton died in Death of the Inhumans, but then again so did Maximus and Ronan and they're fine now somehow.
>>
>>150308421
Space Knights showed up in the first issue as a cameo
>>
>>150308179
It’s a backup so it would make sense >>150308381
Annihilus isn’t smart enough to come up with something like this on his own.
>>
>>150308421
>>150308489

Only reason it’s the Inhumans it’s because Hickman said so and wanted them back.
>>
>>150308170
>>150308346
I think it's the colourist fault
>>
>>150307589
Like, didn't Hickman have Black Bolt and the Inhumans give up ruling the Kree Empire due to some vague prophecy bullshit that was ultimately pointless, why does he want it back now?
>>
>>150308537
If he did he dgaf but it’s more likely that he gave Mackay the outline of the plot and that he didn’t read it.

Referring to Peter as Pete is something Richard occasionally does and Mackay’s Nova feels more like the actual character than how Hickman writes him.
>>
>>150308619
Because other writers killed the Universal Inhumans and all of BB's other wives

Might as well break some other shit in retaliation
>>
>>150308304
They were the imperial faction. The imperial Kree are the ones that combined with skrulls under Teddy. The Utopians did nothing until even Ewing stopped referencing them.
>>
>>150308381
>Arakki
They have gotten like three genocides. Probably smarter to keep to themselves
>>
>>150308636
Yeah, I just find it funny because some anon speculated early on that writers from now on would stick to Hickman's characterization of these two. And then it turns out they couldn't even keep it consistent within such a small event. Not that I'm complaining.
>>
>>150308545
Crystal is always absent.

Will we ever get Lunakino again?
>>
>>150308619
Hickman broke the DnA Cosmic Marvel and now he can take credit for restoring it. He's a hack and a scene stealer of the highest caliber especially since now Abnett has to take marching orders from him.
>>
>>150308619
They left the kree empire so they could retake it but in the way that the prophecy wanted. Hickman was always a silly man.
>>
>>150308890
tbf to Hickman the DnA space status quo was going to be broken by Bendis, who doesn't even know the toys he's breaking.
>>
>>150308920
Bendis didn't retcon away Gladiator being Praetor of the Shiar, which was part of the DnA package. If we are talking the guy who did the most damage that's Hickman. Resurrecting Lilandra (as a preclude to Imperial) and Xandra becoming Empress (to set up for the New Mutants/Imperial Guard book that never happened) and getting rid of the Inhumans ruling the Kree were all on his watch.
>>
>>150307445
>A new push for the inhumans
>Crystal left out again
Someone has to have it out for her.
>>
>>150308748
Yeah I am not complaining either since Hickman’s characterization for Peter and Rich was weird. McKay I can tell at least knows Richard.
>>
>>150307403
Not even a malicious 3rd party like the Badoon or the Chitauri? What did the inhumans did to you to make them your first target/suspects (even though you are right)?
>>
>>150309239
>>150308774
I haven't really kept up with the Inhumans, is Crsytal being left out a common thing? I recall her appearing in other people's books during the big Inhumans push.
>>
>>150310049
Sort of. She tends be a to interact with greater MU more than the others but inside an Inhuman book she almost always gets relegated to background. Notably she was outright absent from the first two years of the Inhumans before getting her own team book and when that ended she disappeared again. She never seems to be used along side the rest of her family.
>>
>>150310049
Broadly speaking she is the good natured one who tries to find a peaceful resolution so she won't be involved in violent affairs by choice.

>Imperial War: Nova - Centurion (2025) #1
>FROM THE PAGES OF IMPERIAL! The Xandarian Worldmind will be lost forever…unless Rich Rider can earn the credits needed to keep it alive! So Nova must offer his services to the highest bidder - Have Helmet, Will Travel!
Well that was a little misleading.

>>150310287
It's all a "set-up" for the ongoing later
>>
>>150310455
Hopefully Mackay drops Avengers for Nova.
>>
>>150310660
There's only 4 issues left until Avengers reaches issue 800 by legacy numbering, so it would be a good place for him to end things.
>>
>>150310287
Clearly Pete isn't going to keep the throne of Spartax so they're going to welsh on the bill

So Rich and Worldmind are going to be on the backfoot for a while just trying to keep the lights on
>>
>>150307431
So what will get in the way of them tattling?

Karnak dressing up like he just woke up and ready to sling some drugs despite being a part of the Royal Family will never not be funny.
>>
>>150311519
The Warren Ellis kung-fu hobo look has just become Karnak's default look forever, probably doesn't help that his original Jack Kirby look wasn't that great.
>>
>>150308381
>>150308421
Most of those powers you've named would not try some a mass assassination plot to plunge the galactic powers into a war.
>>
>>150311092
The big question is what happens to Pete at the end of this.
>Can old school The Man Called Nova and/or New Warriors fans expect some sort of continuity callbacks in this series?
>There's certainly some callbacks in Rich's new supporting cast, though they're more callbacks to the greater Cosmic Marvel theatre than specifically Nova stuff.
This doesn't rule him out as a supporting character in the ongoing, but I'm also not really expecting him to survive Imperial, so. It would be comedy gold if Pete died and Rich would only care because now he won't be able to pay up.

Anyway Quasar or Silver Surfer helping out would be fun. Realistically the demand for a single, no longer Prime-level Nova as a merc really shouldn't be that huge.
>>
>>150311543
It worked in his book but he needs something else for space.
>>
This plan needs a part2 because as it stands there is really no reason for them to upend anyone besides the kree and maybe wakanda
>>
>>150311568
Neither would the Inhumans, acting like this is completely new and arguably OOC.
>>
>>150311645
>Can old school The Man Called Nova and/or New Warriors fans expect some sort of continuity callbacks in this series?
It's MacKay. Using supporting characters not seeing in decades is what he does.
>>
>>150311645
>Anyway Quasar or Silver Surfer helping out would be fun
Didn't Norrin just die and get replaced?
>>
>>150312559
I can't keep track of this shit. Rez him then. Should be long enough by November.
>>
>>150311645
>Anyway Quasar or Silver Surfer helping out would be fun.
Quantum Bands would probably solve his problem pretty quick, huh? Last I remember Quasar joined up with the Annihilators but that was god knows how long ago. Surely he's still kicking, you think he'd share with Rich? They could do the old Rick/Genis routine for a bit.
>>
>>150311645
MacKay was posting on Bluesky regarding New Warriors so yes
>>
>>150309260
Hickman, like Bendis, does not give a single shit about previous characterization. He bends and distorts characters to fit the roles he wants for them and doesn't write roles for the characters. This is one of the reasons he's a shitty writer.
