The humor just feels like a continuation of later season 6, the pacing of the episodes got worse, everything is just splattered randomly in your face at a fast pace. The episodes just feels uninteresting and pointless. Maybe I just watched it at the wrong time. Maybe I'll give it another chance in a later time.

Personally I think it’s not fully realized by any means but I don’t think it’s bad despite some things I dislike about it.I just think it’s odd that S1 is basically the Gumball+Family show with most other characters barely utilized, then they almost all get heavily utilized for S2, and then the character usage begins to dwindle down until it’s effectively the Gumball+Family show again, but now with a layer of G-Rated Family Guy on it.It’s like “oh it turns out that the world we crafted with all these characters that we didn’t know how to build in the first season was something we should have never made at all!”. And this is while coasting on the prestige of their mixed media angle, which just arguably gets worse as each season rolls by for the most part.
