The New 52 gets a lot of shit, but I'll always appreciate how it was the first time in 30 years that DC felt comfortable letting their big characters get new designs. Some of them worked better than others but at least we got the variety. Deathstroke comes to mind with how he lost his little orange running shorts.

There were a bunch of new looks through the 90's though? hell if anything a lot of New 52 looks are more traditional(Wonder Woman had pants before Flashpoint, Aquaman had a few different designs). Batman's look in Hush came from the end of NML with the "new Gotham" relaunch and it's remained his go-to costume since, replacing the yellow oval suit in play for nearly 40 years by then.

Did you actually read any comics before the New 52

Hell it's not just that
Around like late 1994 to No Man's Land Batman had a darker costume that was intended to evoke the movie version. Early version had fins on his boots, like his gloves.
NML Batman was basically dark costume + pouch belt from Year One and DKR
Post-NML was basically the Year One suit but then colored blue or black from that point forward
Frank Quitely design for DickBats was basically Year One suit with a different, sleeker belt
2010 Batman Inc costume was basically trunkless before New 52 and brought back the oval

And if you don't consider any of those counting then keep this in mind, New 52 is just basically the Year One design but given ridges and a different belt.

Also

Hal Jordan's Green Lantern Rebirth costume in the Johns era removed the green trunks

Wonder Woman had a different chest logo in 1982
They removed the heels from her boots post-COIE
They gave her that biker outfit around 1994 or 1995 that had a jacket and shorts
Byrne gave her darker blue shorts with only two stars
JMS era Wonder Woman also gave her pants and a jacket

Superman had long hair after he came back from the dead that he kept from late 1993 to 1996 and had a drastically different electric design during 1997 to early 1998
