This seems like an awful idea from Paramount.Every company that has bought/merged with WB has regretted it (AT&T, Discovery, AOL, SevenArts, and Time Inc.).WB is literally cursed.
>>150347839They could have avoided this by respecting the art more
>>150347839even my autistic brain cannot process this shitty crossover
>>150347839the Disney-FOX merger was 18 months from announcment to completion and reduced the Big Six to the Big Five; in normal times it would be hard to argue that this won't simply reduce the Big Five to the Big Four but then in normal times we wouldn't have shit factories like Amazon Prime and Netflix pumping out garbage Hallmark and Troma would be ashamed of and taxing a fair chunk of the citizenry for the privilege while simultaneously claiming this is what people want and the old models are deadthe sooner silicon valley slips into the sea the better, techbros were a mistake
how many companies are left in the us? 5?
>>150347839Of course it's cursed, Jack Warner's brothers cursed the company with Jewish magic after he backstabbed them
>>150347839it's also suuuuper illegalnot that the laws are being enforced, but I would not push my luck
>>150348271anon I don't know how to tell you this, jewish magic is when you have little money and you pass it around and now you have 12 basketfuls of leftover money.if you're LOSING money, that's... I mean take your pick. irish magic, african magic, canadian magic..
>>150347839Yaya! Now there will be fewer names to remember when I tell people how few media companies own all the media.
>>150348315how dare you question the president's business skills
>>150347839>/co/ - Comics & Cartoons
How will they call it? ParaWarner? Mount Bros? Warnermount?>>150349285>company that owns Looney Tunes and DC is not /co/-related
>mfw James Gunn makes a JLA/Transformers movie
>>150349439they'd never pair an unsuccessful brand with something that still sells, Hasbro would destroy them if TF became associated with that slop
>>150349887>He thinks Transformers One and Rise of Beasts were successes while Superman 2025 wasn'tlol, your enraged crashout has been hilarious to watch
>>150349887>something that still sellsYeah, they don't even need Michael Bay anymore...
>>150347839This isn’t new and I seriously doubt this will ever happen due to antitrust laws
>>150347839>SevenArtsActually that one didn't turn out too badIt wasn't extraordinary but it didn't crash and burn like AOL
>>150349951go back over the TF movies since 2007 and count up the hits and the flopsnow go back over all the DC movies since 2007 and do the sameyou see how that works? garbage: the franchise is garbage
>>150349959Michael Bay is the reason they're in the scrapheap!
>>150348315it's a misnomer that Jews are good with money. in fact they are terrible with it, and are only good at convincing people they are good with it so they have a constant income stream from foolish investors.
>>150348293Larry Ellison is besties with Trump. It will pass.
>>150347839Can they just let WB die? how retarded do you have to be, to be like ''yeah all the slop they made that lost them money? We want in.'' Their ips are worth dirt
>>150355168to put it another way, there is no quicker way for a gentile to lose his money than to give it to a jew for safekeeping.
>>150355241>bestiesMore like Ellison is Trump's bitch.
>>150347839>Be paramount>Complain that Colbert was losing too much money>Paramount+ has been a $2.5 BILLION dollar loss>Ermmm akchually I think we need to buy Warner!!It's crazy how these companies are either poorly managed or a part of the biggest stock market scam ever conceived in the modern era.
>>150348156I really cannot believe Amazon bought MGM. Comcast, the fucking TV cable company bought Universal. Disney, King of slop, bought the entirety of 20th Century Fox just to own the X-Men movie rights. Sony, a fucking Japanese company, bought Columbia AND the entire staple of American music through Columbia Records (and in turn has sold it to the fucking Germans).
please merge it's going to be so fucking funny
>>150349351A Paramount Warner Company
>>150347839the entire company or just parts of it?
>>150353387So by your standards of claiming Superman 2025 is a flop that means Transformers only has four hit films and those were the first four
>>150356209Not just a problem with Paramount+ but they don't even have a hit in theaters this year. And not only that the Skydance merger only got approved a month ago after the shitshow they went through to make sure the merger got approved. We don't even know what Skydance-run Paramount will actually be like so it makes no sense to buy something else now.
>>150348271something like this?
>>150355420>all the slop they made that lost them moneyYes, "lost"
>>150348156I am hoping Disney/Marvel does nothing with their Void At The End of Time concept until they have solidified their stuff. It is a perfect setting for a dark themed series combining everything in a chaotic and grim world.
>>150358452I think some of their smaller sub-brands were informed of the buyout before it ever got announced
>>150358426no, by my standads TF has 7 out of 7 live action films that made profit, in most cases significantly profitable moviesin the same period, DC has 25 films, of which less than half were profitable, some were outright losses, one was never even releasedif we widen it out then we have the Red movies (one profitable, one flop), The Kitchen (profitable), The Losers (flop) and Stardust (popular, but still a flop) in the same periodthat's 30 movies based on the DC brand in the past 18 years, one every 7 months on averageyou can name all the TF movies off the top of your head, good or not, they made moneywhat was the lowest grossing DC movie since 2007? Jonah Hex? Green Lantern? Blue Beetle? WW84? you don't know and you don't care, you have to look that shit upall DC has done is give you homework, why would Hasbro want their toys to be associated with homework now? they never gave a shit about continuity before, they just partnered with Paramount to make memorable movies
>>150358557Exactly like that. Jack was hospitalized for a month after the incident.
>>150359300Now slash the share of the ticket sales they don't get, and then slash the production and marketing costs.
Paramount currently has a standing debt of $15.51 billion. Warner-Discovery currently has a standing debt of $35.6 billion.Who profits from a merger, other than the banks? And are you really ready for Bugs Bunny doing a guest shot on some new Star Trek series?
>>150348219>how many companies are left in the us? 5?Well, there's Disney, and, uuum....
>>150360049>Who profits from a merger, other than the banks? The banks always profit, other wise they wouldn't be banks. Or was that rhetorical?
>>150348156>but then in normal times we wouldn't have shit factories like Amazon Prime and Netflix pumping out garbage Hallmark and Troma would be ashamed of Oh sweet summer child, shit content has always been made. The only difference is that during TV network days stuff could start to air and then die in the matter of couple of weeks and then be immediately forgotten where as now shows have entire seasons filmed before release and then stay on streaming platforms forever unless they decide to take a tax write off and throw it in the garbage as a cost saving measure and now there’s Wikipedia and IMDB where people can look stuff up so nothing is forgotten. Hollywood also had poverty row that made tons of cheap poorly written slop you’ve never heard of. Bela Lugosi’s late career low budget movies are considered great compared to that stuff. And more recently there was tons of poor quality direct-to-video shit produced.
>>150358452Supposedly, Ellison wants to make a deal to Zaslav that he can give him the industry consolidation that he wants.Netflix is apparently the most likely candidate to offer a buyout but Ellison went out of hsi way first to give a compelling argument before even the cards fell where they lay.
>>150359547>their Void At The End of Time conceptTheir what
>>150360288they created a somewhat original idea and have so far only used it twice. But now with the upcoming installments, it is looking to just be a Battleworld stand-in. But that would be a waste since the concept can easily be used for a crossover project.
>>150347839We really are going to get some sort of FAGMAN style megacorporation in this lifetime, aren't we?
