DOOM broke that barrier and made him a cult among Rap fans, which has a far greater reach than the comic community, and indirectly got also the mainstream and casual people who never open a marvel comic book hooked on Dr DOOM because every single Fantastic 4 that was ever released sucked ass so much that they never managed to build a strong DOOM fanbase. People know DOOM because of MF DOOM.
