What do we think of Gunn's DCU so far?
I don't think of James Gunn's DCU.
>>150374316Will probably be remembered similarly to Snyder's DCU, i.e. trying too hard to jumpstart a cinematic universe by including as many characters as possible in every movie, setting itself apart tonally from other superhero movies in a way that is exciting at first but eventually gets repetitive and boring, misinterpreting characters in order to make them fit his particular style of writing, and making a Superman movie that ends with a main villain getting murked by the good guys.Mark my words, history will not be kind to James Gunn, especially once he butchers Batman with his epic quirky teehee macaroni writing style.
>>150374316>Suicide Squad 2016Take that one off, it's not part of the DCU.
blue beetle is canon to that universe?
>>1503754172016's SS is partially canon, BB is fully canon I guess. Nothing in it messes with the current continuity.
>>150374316Suicide Squads - didn't watchPeacemaker S1 - 6/10Blue Beetle - 5/10, it was colorful, and cheap. Feels in-place with Gunn-verse.Creature Commando - 4/10, a complete waste of potential. All episodes were more or less introductions for individual characters, half of them are completely worthless due to the fact that they are backstories for characters that cannot have an arc because they are a robot and a manimal, Victor is not even a part of the team, and Nina died in the same episode. Season 2 will have a few new faces meaning that at least 2 episodes out of 7 will be wasted on introducing them if it is written like season 1.Superman - 6/10. It was okay. I liked it. But I don't love it.Peacemaker S2 - It's not finished yet.It has been painfully average.
