Why do turtles have a such strong staying power?
What makes them so likeable?

Personalities are easy to understand.
They are Ninjas (Ninjas are cool).
They have cool weapons and gadgets.
Very easy to make toys for.

TMNT is like a committee took everything boys like and mixed it all together and it actually worked out perfectly.

>They totally cool teens
>And ninjas with weapons!
>They fight mutants, aliens, robots, and robot ninjas!
>They love Pizza!
>They do skateboard stunts on sewer walls and party around New York, the city all the superheroes are from!
>Color coordinated so you can pick your favorite color and weapon.

It never worked out with any of the copies in the last 35 years. But it's a flawless combination.

Which is why I think them ramping it up lately is a mistake

It may not be my cup of tea but hopefully they stick with Mutant Mayhem for a while
