Ed edd n eddy never felt any more mean spirited than real life. Most of the time when the eds get beat up it’s because they deserved it.

The jokes in-between and ongoing mystery plot are some of the best things in the whole series. It's where we got the joke of Edd dropping the concrete slab on his feet, shit still has me howling to this day.

That was completely out of character of WiltWilt also acted like an asshole in that episode where Coco, Ed, Wilt, and Bloo fought over a room
