>CatDog, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, and The Cramp Twins.

Are they mean-spirited? Yes.

Does the mean-spiritedness work in these shows? No. Poor CatDog can never catch a break, Bloo's jerk behavior and the cynicism contradicts everything of Foster's, Adam always gets shat on, and in Cramp Twins, Wayne always gets away with picking on Lucien, and everyone in the Cramp Twins' world is a horrible asshole.

Is there a limit to how mean-spirited they can get? Yes. CatDog, Gym Partner, and Cramp Twins have moments, and the Bendy, Europe, Goofball, and surprise party episodes of Foster's.

>Ed, Edd n Eddy

Is it mean-spirited? Yes.

Does the mean-spiritedness work in this show? Yes. The characters are jerks, but they are also likable, and the Eds aren't the best people, so bad stuff happening to them is karma.

Is there a limit to how mean-spirited it can get? Yes. Despite this, there are moments where it's too mean-spirited. For example, "If It Smells Like an Ed", "Your Ed Here", and "Smile for the Ed".

>pic related

Is it mean-spirited? Yes.

Does the mean-spiritedness work in this show? Yes. The show is full of dark humor.

Is there a limit to how mean-spirited it can get? No.

Behold, pic related, the show where mean-spiritedness doesn't matter.

GROW A PAIR YOU STUPID FAGGOT!

Ed edd n eddy never felt any more mean spirited than real life. Most of the time when the eds get beat up it’s because they deserved it.

>If It Smells Like an Ed
That episode's fucking great. Yeah the Eds got framed but they literally were treating Jimmy like shit earlier, and so what? The jokes in-between and ongoing mystery plot are some of the best things in the whole series. It's where we got the joke of Edd dropping the concrete slab on his feet, shit still has me howling to this day.

>they were treating Jimmy like shit earlier
Only eddy was being a dick to Jimmy. Either way this is one of the few episodes I never watch anymore because it pisses me off that sissy framed the eds.
>>
Anyone else find it interesting how autists fixate on minor negative stuff way more than anything they supposedly like?
>>
Bloo gets hyperbolized so much it's not even funny. He is not Eric Cartman or Shake
>>
>>150390173
I remember a Foster's episode where the new guy basically threatened Bloo that he'd be crushing him or something when Bloo made a joke at him and Wilt acted like a dick to Bloo. That was completely out of character of Wilt

Wilt also acted like an asshole in that episode where Coco, Ed, Wilt, and Bloo fought over a room
>>
Ed, Edd n Eddy is pretty realistic overall.

Exactly, post-movie Bloo was bad, but not that bad.
