I think he could do a gold job replicating how I imagine Swamp Thing speaks in the Moore run. I imagine him talking very deliberately, with odd pauses, which is sort of how he spoke in his Law and Order.

If they're going to do the romance between him and Abby, Alec Holland / Swamp Thing should have a certain attractiveness and charisma to him. I almost think casting a potential heartthrob actor is the approach they should take. Swamp Thing at its best is more of a gothic romance that dives into straight horror than typical superhero fare.

D'Onofrio is kino, so yes. Problem is, this is Gunn's DCU so I can't see them doing justice to any version of the character, specially the good ol Moore's stories that is the best material out there.
