Bump
>>150392403>>150392419>>150392424>>150392433I like how dynamic the panels are composed. But even without them, the dialogue feels natural. Its really a good comic
>>150392580It's crazy how X-men used to just accept some mutant saying "no" to them instead of forcibly kidnapping them anyway. They might have always been assholes, but at least they used to be well-meaning and somewhat reasonable assholes
>>150393192I also it’s also because this specific comic is aimed towards a younger audience, so all their antisocial obnoxious tendencies are turned down for it.
>>150393423*I also think
>>150392557>>150392569This is raw X-men alright>Hey kid with superpowers and nobody to help you get through this shit>We a team of the foremost experts in teenage superhumans, all of whom got our powers around the same age you are right now don't give a shit about you now that you're revealed to not be a specific type of superhuman
>>150392394watch out spidahman, cyclops is about to poke you in the belly!
>>150393697Lol reminds me of when they threw Franklin Richards to the curb when they found out he wasn't a mutant and could no longer teleport them cause he lost his powers
>>150393705His only weakness!
>>150393697Lol, imagine the Ex-Men. Guys who come and recruit little boys to become trans women.
>>150392483>>150392495I always like when pete gets angry and doesn’t take shit
>>150394704Yeah, and I like how he dragged Wolverine all the way over town.
>>150392506This fight is really good
>>150392386these issues are so cool.
>>150395739You said it. This run is just so good. Why isn’t it talked about more often? I have only found two videos on it (though it’s about Chat), but man these are written and drawn so well. It’s--it’s like i am reading a comic book story which is almost rare in this day and age
>>150395739Yup. We are getting the near the end of this run (I know there is a relauch)
>>150395777not mainline/continuity book, so most just didnt read or discuss. was pretty solid run with lot of good stuff allowed to happen. not bogged down with the garbage jms magic totem shit and progressive stuff destroying modern version. usually very good or competent art at worst. most just went to ultimate line instead.
>>150396501Wish this one got more attention. I think this is better than Ultimate imo. Never vibed with Ultimate.
>>150392442I love all the inclusions of animals in the book. It is a subtle artistic reminder that Chat is always close to Peter which I find really endearing
>>150395777Marvel Adventures was a kids line that did get a little attention but vastly overshadowed by the mainline and Ultimate (the former were still pushing BND shit and the latter was going through Ultimatum and then a few years later the death of Ultimate Peter and the intro of Miles), so Marvel Adventures generally didn't get much coverage after a while. There was like an article or two about Tobin taking over Marvel Adventures and what his plans were, and about the subsequent relaunch, but not much after that. Those videos you mentioned about Chat was probably the most attention this run has gotten. Around 2011 the original editor on this got laid off with other editors, and replaced by the guy who was editing Amazing Spider-Man at the time and the comic shifted to doing done-in-one stories so a few subplots never got resolved.Around 2012 Marvel ditched the Marvel Adventures line in favor of comics based on the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and that lasted like 12 issues before they gave up and turned it into a comic using screencaps from the show. As a result there was little reason for Marvel to reprint this run, there was no Marvel Adventures line and they weren't interested in continuing the storyline
>>150394704>>150394769Peter would be dead to rights if Charles or Jean were their to shut his dweeby lame ass down with their psychic powers
>>150397507Man, good things never last, do they? Even though I am still going to be happy with what we got. Maybe it being forgotten by the higher ups will be kind of a boon for it and a surprise for those who would find it.You were saying there were interviews about Tobin's plan for this run? Got any links?
>>150392386Lol why did Peter tie Nightcrawler's tail back to itself?
>>150392386Bump for reading
>>150392389Worthless opening page>>150392394Should have just opened with this.
>>150399475Thanks
>>150399617Nah uh
>>150398076The interview I'm thinking of was from CBR right as the run was about to start. One of the images in that interview was this one here by Mateo Lolli showing the height comparisons between Chat, Emma, and Gwen. Unfortunately post-buyout CBR is fucked up and I can't seem to locate the interview.
>>150399864The first page doesn’t add anything that the splash itself doesn’t tell us. It’s poorly drawn with too many panels and the figures are thusly far too small. FFS the very first panel spider-man is so small as to not need his webbing drawn. That’s two cardinal sins in one panel - the very first panel should have the character drawn extremely clearly and on-model and it should be an image that sucks readers in. If it were a page 7 or something it wouldn't be egregious but as an opening page it’s terrible.
