The ultimate irony of this season airing mere months after the streaming contract with WB and Max expired, a deal paramount were probably cheating the entire time with the bullshit ""Special events"" that was basically the last 4 eps of each seasons glued together into movies so they can propped up their own streaming service Para+ that people would only bother using cause of south park.Had the whole affair was resolved quicker or they even bother with following the deal to begin with, the current season could have ended before this event could happen to be a future plotline, or aired later in the year.
