What Happened this show again ??
Deep lore.
>>150401617ESLtard
>>150401617This show HaPened much Pendleton Wardly and was was bad like girl dog. Cero out of Tenn, would not watch in home country.
>>150401617>yt changes payment system to suit minutes watched over the amount of clicks >cartoon hangover doesn't earn enough money from short videos or merchandise to cover costs of shows >cartoon hangover puts new episodes of BW behind a paywall called VRV>VRV couldn't be accessed outside of the US >waits several years to put all the episodes on yt>quality of animation goes down
>>150401617>show does okay on Youtube>creators move to their own Frederator-run streaming service for a variety of reasons (mostly money)>damn near nobody subs to the Frederator thing, even the BW fans>by the time anyone sees the show posted on actual platforms with a userbase, any fans it had are long gone and nobody gives a fuck anymore>also Catbug's VA was getting older, losing the appeal he had over time>other complaints I'm blanking on because it's been yearsSeriously though, you'd think people would stop hopping onto these no-name streaming services since they pretty much 100% fail 100% of the time.Hell, even in vidya, people move to Epic Games Store (not a no-name, though), drawn in by higher cuts of the profits, signing exclusivity contracts, only to then sell 1/10000 of what they would if they were on Steam/GoG/Itch.It used to be a better offer to join EGS back when they were literally paying people for exclusivity rights, but nowadays it's just something like "we waive all fees for X years", which is still a shit deal if you're getting 1/10000 the number of sales.
>>150401617It got canceled, duh.I loved this show, especially season 4.
>>150401617milk.
>>150401766>>150402227You missed the part where it started out getting funding from the YouTube Original Channel Initiative, but that got killed after 18 months. Apparently they had finished season three before the funding was pulled, so I don't know why they didn't just put it up on YouTube for maximum viewership instead of VRV.
>>150401617>>150401766This show does feel like the perfect time capsule for a popular online series pre-2015. The fact that YouTube changing up on them and the show ending up on a slow decline after that adds to it for me. Bee & Puppycat would've been that too, if it weren't for Netflix.
>>150401617Faggotry and Cuckshit. Especially in the final season.
>>150401617It leaned into the 2010's social justice more HARD! The cute girls were all either girls bosses or obnoxious lgbt safe horney bait and the guys were all neutered with failure or 'le quirkiness'.Chris was an accelerated version of Finn, forced to undergo humiliation after humiliation, while we're told that this suppose to make him a better person
>>150405633IIRC they were contractually obligated to wait for Bee and Puppycat to release, and that kept delaying>>150406497only at the end.. but yeah. Real sad affair, I liked this show for a while.
>>150406497If I'll be fair, I think for it's time that was considered slightly more edgy and new, at least if you were an older millennial animator at that time. This was still before the "girlboss" trope became mainstream a few years later but peak Buzzfeed "we made this beloved Disney princess a badass" era
>>150401617I don’t know why they felt the need to do cliff hangers, oh it’s cause they tried too hard to make it like adventure time. I kind of miss Plum though. And the bear with the black guys voice.
>>150406821Fair, but the inevitable was evident for those with the ken to see it
>>150401617Got delayed for a long time Due to youtube changing their monetization rules,Episodes were released on a obscure streaming service that only people in the us can access,Although by that time the fans have since moved on to other shows so it released without a peep
>>150406845Impossibear was annoying Just about every gimmick side character was annoying for that matter, Bravest Warriors was hella overrated in the humor department
>>150408128It was Adventure Time but dumber
