As much as I hate this mouth breather, Dan Dildo often serves as a shield for the other hack responsible for the shitfest that was that era of DC: Geoff Johns.

People hate on didio so much that they forget GJ had tremendous power at DC at the time and he was in lockstep with didio in fucking DC up back then. The New 52 was John's baby as much as it was Didio's

Johns loves legacy and history though. I doubt he wanted to reboot it all, flashpoint was originally supposed to be a story arc in flash not a reboot machine
